Please join Patterson, Bozman, and Stockton on October 25th at 6:00 pm for a Bond Information Night at Stockton Jr. High. Information flier is below.

This is Red Ribbon Week! We will have daily themed dress-up days and invite our students to join in too! We will end the week, October 27th, with a Storybook Character parade. We will parade around the staff parking lot (weather pending) at 9:00 AM. Parents, please park in the staff lot for this event. There will not be a visitor sign-in since the event is outdoors.

Save the Date: The Patterson Fall Festival is November 10th from 5-7 pm. There will be games, bounce houses, food, raffles, and a silent auction! This is a family event for all! Join us!

Daily library notifications are being emailed from the district. The emails are just a notification of what your child is checking out from the library. It is not about overdue books. If you'd like to turn off the daily email notifications, please click on the links shared in the CISD Automated Library Notifications found in this week's Patterson Pages.

Please help keep everyone safe by staying in the car rider line if you are bringing your child to school in the morning. Buses unload in the front of our school and walking through the bus zone is not safe.

Our school hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:10 p.m., however our doors are open to students at 7:15 each morning. Breakfast is from 7:15 to 7:55 and students are considered tardy at 8:00 a.m.

Conroe ISD Library Services enabled daily email notifications, so you are informed of the items checked out by your student. Daily emails will list the item(s) currently checked out. If the book(s) your student selected is not a good fit, please have your student return it to the campus library and choose a new title. If you have questions about the book(s), please contact the school librarian. Notifications for these daily messages can be managed in Parent Access Center (PAC). If you don’t have a PAC account, you will need to register for one to access the email settings. You can also view the item(s) your student checked out by logging in to Destiny Discover through your student's SSO account. You can further manage your student’s access to library materials by completing the Library Access Form found on the Library Services website along with viewing other helpful information. Please do not reply to this email as it comes from an unmonitored email account.

Early voting begins Monday, October 23. If you have not had the opportunity to learn about the projects in Bond 2023, you’re invited to join Superintendent Dr. Curtis Null at the Jett Center on Saturday, October 21, at 11 AM or Monday, October 23, at 10 AM or noon. Anyone unable to attend is invited to watch a virtual version of the presentation here or learn more at https://www.conroeisd.net/bond/.

Prop A includes funds for land for some of the schools in Bond 2023 and future schools, transportation, and technology infrastructure. Transportation funds will be used to buy buses and make transportation department improvements. Technology infrastructure funds will be used to update and replace aging components that maintain speed, reliability, and security of the network. I have 25 years experience as a school counselor, most recently from the Kingwood area and previously, in Aldine ISD. I am a native Houstonian and graduate of the University of Houston. I love visiting the lake and any beach! It is my pleasure to work with the Patterson community this year.

Just a few reminders from the clinic:

Any medications whether over-the-counter or prescription, must be brought to the clinic by a parent or guardian in the original labeled container and be FDA approved. The students can not transport any medication. This is for your child’s safety.

Please be sure to notify the school of any phone number changes. We need the most current numbers in case your child needs to be picked up or there is an emergency situation. Keep your child at home if they demonstrate any of the following:

1.Fever of 100 degrees or more

2.Suspected contagious disease

3.Vomiting or Diarrhea

4.Severe stomachache, headache or earache

5.A child who is too ill to function in the classroom

Our goal is to keep your children safe, healthy and learning in the classroom. I hope this year will be full of great experiences for you and your child. I am excited to share in the journey!

Eat Breakfast at School!

Breakfast is served at school! School breakfast will give your child a healthy start to the day. A nutritious breakfast helps students be more alert so they can learn more in class. Breakfast has vitamins and nutrients for a strong and healthy body. If you qualify for free and reduced price meals, you also qualify for the breakfast program, with no additional paperwork. You can’t find a healthy breakfast at such a low cost anywhere else. Help your child start the day right with school breakfast!

All staff and visitors must wear a visible badge at all times, with visitors’ badges including a time and date stamp. Safety is our ultimate responsibility and takes all of us working together.

• Our doors open at 7:15 for all students.
• Students are counted "tardy" after 8:00. Instruction begins promptly at 8:00 and we want our students present and ready to learn!
• Breakfast is served from 7:30-7:55.
• Transportation changes need to be made by 2:15. Emergency transportation changes can be made no later than 2:30.
• Students will not be checked out after 2:15.
• Dismissal begins at 3:10.
• Please display your car sign when picking your students up each day. This is for the safety for all students and to help our staff and substitutes on duty.
