The SHARK Alert
Chatham Elementary School Family Update
Sunday, April 21st
I hope this finds you well-rested and ready to return to school for the final stretch of the 2023-2024 school year. The month of April has been jam-packed with learning and special events, the rest of the school year shows no signs of slowing down! Please take a few moments to review the "Coming Soon to CES" section of the newsletter as there are a large number of scheduled field trips and all-school events.
Before the Break, our students in Grade 3 and Grade 4 did an amazing job with the English Language Arts MCAS tests. Beginning this week, Grade 3 will test in mathematics and Grade 4 will test the following week. Please ensure your 3rd and 4th grade students are well-rested and arrive on time during testing dates.
As we slowly make our way to the finish line for the 2023-2024 school year, planning for the 24-25 school year is in full swing. If you have a child who will be the age of 5 in September, please make sure to register as soon as possible. Registration numbers will determine the number of classrooms for next year. Below you will also find information regarding school choice. Chatham Elementary School has extremely limited availability for non-Chatham residents. Please make sure friends and families, or siblings of current CES students who are not Chatham residents, apply immediately.
Once again, welcome back and get ready for the final stretch of the school year. It's going to be FIN-tastic!!
With deepest appreciation,
Dr. Kelly
