Dear Parents,
I have been talking about the Science Fair in STEM, and our students are so excited to get started! Below are links to information about the fair and how to sign up to participate. If you have questions about the process or would like an overview of the expectations, I will be holding and informational Zoom meeting on Wednesday, October 2 at 4:00 pm. The link is found below and is also posted on the Google Classroom.
I look forward to working with you on the Science Fair!

Jaguar Jog Times
We are so excited about the Jaguar Jog on October 3rd. Here's a few details:
- Parents can park and go directly to the field to cheer on their child for Jaguar Jog.
- Please make sure your child wears running shoes and brings a water bottle.
- Staff is not allowed to apply sunscreen.
- What if it rains? We move into the gym for a fun glow run.
- Students are encouraged to wear their class shirt or the same color shirt as their grade level.
- Parents must go to the front office if they want to check out their child. They may not check out at the field. Students must go back to their classroom with their class. However, please remember instruction is continuing throughout the day, so I encourage children to stay to keep the routine. :)
- If a parent enters the building, they must check in through the front office. Thank you for your support with safety and security.
PAWS FOR PTA NEWS
National Hispanic Heritage Month started on Sunday, September 15, and our PTA's Connecting Community Committee helped Suwanee Elementary honor this important month by designing a beautiful display in the cafeteria. This board pays tribute to the Hispanic diaspora, Latin American Spanish-speaking countries, and many incredible Hispanic leaders. Please be sure to stop by and check it out!
If you have questions about the Connecting Community PTA Committee or if you are interested in joining, please sign up here.
Thanks!
Cecy
Big thank you to our parent volunteers who designed the board. ππππ

What is Cape Day?
Cape Day is an annual tradition that honors and celebrates the superhero patients battling illnesses and injuries at Childrenβs Healthcare of Atlanta. Wearing a cape gives them the power to envision their dreams and helps them feel like the superheroes they are. People around the state join in to show their support. Please join us as we celebrate all of our superhero patients by wearing a cape on Cape Day, Friday, October 25, 2024.

What is Suwanee Elementary doing?
Suwanee Elementary will be encouraging all students and staff to wear a cape on Friday, October 25. Any cape will work. Check your dress-up costumes or even a pillowcase safety pinned at the shoulders will make a great cape! We will also make snack bags for patients and families at CHOA.
