Bulldog Nation Insider- 10/14/24
Our weekly newsletter with important information!
Principal's Corner
Happy Sunday Bulldog Nation Families,
I hope that you had a wonderful Fall Break! School is back tomorrow and it's Picture Day!!! Don't forget to wear your "freshest" School Uniform, and come ready to Smile!
We have an action packed week including sending our Boys Basketball team to the Final 4 Playoff game on Tuesday at Santa Rita High School at 6:15PM. Come out and cheer them on, but just a heads up that there is a $3 spectator fee.
On Wednesday, our PTSO is hosting our very own Parent Social Media/Cyber Safety Awareness Night at 6PM. If you would like assistance with helping your child navigate social media safely, please come. There will be pizza provided.
Our New HVAC Cooling Towers have been delivered (They are certainly TOWERS) and the HVAC contractor APS will continue to install them. Thank you for your flexibility and patience with drop off and pickup these past few weeks. Also, some exciting news is that our New Marquee was installed over Fall Break. It still needs some finishing touches, however it is really exciting to have a working Marquee finally! A huge thank you to TUSD voters, as the Marquee was funded from our Bond. Check out the progress across TUSD on the bond webpage.
A huge thank you to our Mansfeld Families for making benchmark testing dates a priority. Our 7th Grade students outperformed every other school in TUSD on the 1st Quarter Math Benchmark. We not only have the largest 7th grade in TUSD, but also the highest average math score across all TUSD schools for 7th grade math!!! Way to go, and nice work achieving our quest! We will have a Grade Level Party & Free Dress Day on Thursday, October 24th for 7th grade! Our other grade levels did well, and I look forward to sharing the results at our Bulldog Belief Assemblies on Friday.
Also, the City of Tucson is resealing the roads around Mansfeld and making sidewalks ADA complaint. See the information below, as this may impact drop off & pickup. Thanks again for your patience and support.
Finally, we will be having Free Small Group Tutoring Afterschool beginning soon, through a partnership with Arizona Department of Education, called Study Smart. If you are interested in this for your child, please email Mr. Reed. See the flyer below for more details.
Yours in the service of education,
Luke van Schie, Principal
