Aviator Updates
SY24 CWFDES Family Issue #36
B WEEK: May 27-31
Good Evening Aviator Families,
As we look ahead to Memorial Day tomorrow, let us take a moment to honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. We owe them a debt of gratitude for their courage and commitment to protecting our freedoms.
With the end of the school year rapidly approaching, we have many exciting activities planned. This week, we are especially looking forward to our "Arts in Bloom" performances on Wednesday evening and our Annual "Donuts with Grownups" on Friday morning. We hope to see you there!
Speaking of exciting events, be sure to check out this past Thursday's episode of The Duke Morning News (linked below) to check out pictures from our author visit from Don Tate! He had every single one of us on the edge of our seats. We all left with a new appreciation for the art of writing and illustrating stories; it was an awesome experience and we are so thankful our Aviators got to be a part of it!

Note from Nurse Dana
Please remember to pick up your child’s medication from the health office at the end of the school year. Medications cannot be stored in the health room over the summer. Any leftover medication must be discarded. Blank Emergency Action Plans and Medication Authorization forms have been sent home with your child to be completed by your medical provider over the summer for the next school year. The Over-the-Counter Medication Authorization Form has been discontinued so all medication including over-the-counter medications will need a doctor’s order.
Please see the attached flyer for a QR code link to SMCPS medical forms.

Above Par Golf and Entertainment
Above Par Golf and Entertainment wants our kids to SOAR and they want to reward them for doing so! Your family can trade in SOAR tickets for FREE time on their virtual simulators. For every 10 SOAR tickets your child collects, Above Par will give your family 30 minutes of free simulator rental time. They've asked they we limit each visit to a max of 20 SOAR tickets per family, but that's a whole hour of fun for the family, just for your kid SOAR'ing high! Above Par offers much more than golf and they are located right here in Leonardtown. Check their website (www.abovepar.golf) to plan your visit!"
