Areas of Focus for Trimester 2:
As we continue to maintain a positive and productive learning environment, we are encouraging students and staff to emphasize the following expectations:
Backpacks and Technology:
All backpacks and technology must be stored securely in lockers during the school day. (Cell phones/ airpods/ earbuds)
Food and Drinks:
Food should be kept in lockers, not classrooms.
Water bottles with lids are allowed in classrooms.
Students who violate these policies will be asked to return items to their lockers immediately and may be assigned lunch regroup for further reflection. If you feel further discussion about a student’s adherence to these policies is needed, please reach out to the admin team for support or contact the office to schedule a conference.
We appreciate your cooperation in supporting these guidelines to ensure a focused and organized school environment!
Thank you for partnering with us in your student’s success.

30 Minutes of Reading at Home for Our OBJ Students Everyday!
We want all our students at OBJ to spend 30 minutes reading at home each day. It’s a wonderful way to build strong reading skills, expand their imagination, and enjoy some quiet, focused time.
This small daily habit can make a big difference in fostering a love for reading and supporting the great work they’re doing in the classroom. Whether it’s a favorite novel, a graphic novel, or an engaging nonfiction book, every minute spent reading adds up!
Let’s work together to make reading a fun and valuable part of every day. Happy reading! 📚

Every Day Matters: Building a Bright Future Together
At The Bay, we believe every student has incredible potential. To unlock that potential, one simple habit makes a big difference: showing up on time every day. Attendance is more than just being in class—it’s about building a foundation for academic success, personal growth, and lifelong habits like responsibility and resilience.
Here’s how you can help your student make attendance and punctuality a priority:
- Show Them the Connection: Help your student see how being on time today prepares them for the future. Punctuality builds trust, demonstrates reliability, and is a skill employers value in every field.
- Create a Winning Routine: A good night’s sleep, packing up the night before, and a calm morning routine can set your student up for success each day.
- Focus on the Rewards: Every school day is a chance for your student to learn, grow, and move closer to their goals. Consistent attendance helps them gain confidence and build critical skills.
- Celebrate Success: Recognize the effort your student puts into being present and on time. Acknowledge their progress and let them know it matters!
Attendance isn’t just a daily task; it’s a key to your student’s success now and in the future. Thank you for being our partner in helping them grow. Together, we’re shaping their path to a bright, confident future!
