TK Farm Day
On Thursday, Transitional Kindergarten students at Breeze Hill enjoyed a fun and educational Farm Day filled with hands-on experiences. The highlight of the day was a petting zoo, where students had the chance to meet and interact with friendly farm animals up close. In addition to the petting zoo, children took part in a variety of engaging farm-themed activities that helped bring their learning to life. The event was a memorable way to celebrate spring while reinforcing classroom lessons about animals and agriculture.

BH Coyote Postcards - Grades 3-5
Dear Parents,
State testing begins the week of May 5th, and we want to help our students feel supported and encouraged!
As a special gesture, your child’s teacher will be sending home a BH Coyote postcard for you to fill out with a positive and encouraging message. Please take a moment to write a note that will inspire your child to do their best on the test.
Once completed, return the postcard to your child’s teacher. The card will be given to your child on the first day of testing as a thoughtful surprise and motivational boost.
If you’d like to keep the message a secret, feel free to return the postcard in a separate envelope.
Thank you for your continued support!
Feedback Needed!
Parents & Guardians: We invite you to complete our VUSD Parent Input Survey to help us continue improving the educational experience for all students. Please complete the survey for at least one of your children in VUSD. If you have more than one child in the district, we’d love for you to fill out a separate survey for each—it helps us better understand each unique experience.
In the coming weeks, students in grades 4, 7, and 10 will also complete their version of the survey during class time.
Your honest feedback plays a vital role in shaping our programs, services, and priorities across the district. Click here to take the VUSD Parent Input Survey now. Prefer a paper copy? Visit your school’s office where your Community Liaisons have them available.
Thank you for being a valued partner in your child’s education!

PILLARS OF ACHIEVEMENT
As we approach the start of the 2024-25 school year, we request your continued collaboration in reinforcing our expectations around our Pillars and positive behaviors on campus. Our goal is to create a safe space where all students can flourish, learn, and develop. By working together, we can ensure a positive and nurturing environment for everyone.
Here is a reminder of our Pillars for positive behavior:
1. Be Welcoming - say hello and greet others on campus; be accepting of others; share materials; and be a good listener.
2. Do No Harm - put your materials away; take care of your materials; throw trash away; keep hands and feet to yourself..
3. Use Choice Words - wait your turn to speak; use quiet/inside voices; respond kindly; and use polite language when speaking to adults.
4. Never Too Late to Learn - follow directions the first time; help others; use your best effort; and be prepared to Learn.
These 4 Pillars , when followed purposefully, lead us to the last pillar which makes us THE BEST SCHOOL IN THE UNIVERSE!
As partners, we work together in empowering our students to make positive choices and start the school year on a high note. We wish all of our students, staff, and families a successful start to the 2024-2025 school year.
