The News
It was a weird week this week. Monday was a holiday, Wednesday we were out of school because of snow, Thursday and Friday we were on two-hour delays. In the midst of all this we were able to cram in some field trips, honor band auditions and cheerleader tryouts and more.
Broadway Week- This is the week! We have several students who have worked hard after school to rehearse for this week's production of Mean Girls Jr. I know these students and Mr. Grimes and Mr. Taylor and all who have helped and supported this fledgling program are anxious, nervous and excited to show off the finished product this week at the Northwest auditorium. Four shows in three days. Admission is $10 cash or you can pay by credit card on GoFan. Please come out and support this program so we can do this annually for our students and community.
Honor Band- Congratulations to the 11 band members who auditioned for Honor Band this week. All 11 who auditioned made it. Thank you to Mr. Stacy for his hard work and dedication to our band program.
Baseball/Softball- Our baseball and softball teams got started this week in perfectly timed freezing weather. Basketball season was incredibly hard to keep up with as far as wins and losses. Baseball and softball will be even harder. I will do my best but there are A LOT of games. Baseball split with Haleyville and beat Sulligent while falling to Addison and Hackleburg. Softball beat Tremont, Cherokee and Sheffield while falling to Tharptown and Lindsay Lane.
Cheer- We had our annual cheerleader tryouts for next year on Friday. Almost 40 girls tried out. The girls who made each team are listed below. Congratulations to all who tried out and want to represent PCHS. To those who didn't make it this year, keep working hard and find ways to step up and lead and represent your school.
Have A Great Week!

Congratulations to all the girls who tried out for cheerleaders. It takes a lot of courage and mental toughness to go through something like this in one day. To those who made it, congratulations and hold yourself to the highest of standards. To those who did not, never give up and keep trying.
