Principal Update
We had an amazing time at Field Day yesterday! A huge thank you to Mrs. McGinn for all of her hard work organizing the event—it wouldn’t have been possible without your dedication. We’re also incredibly grateful to our staff for running the stations and events throughout the day. And of course, a big shoutout to our wonderful parent volunteers—thank you for giving your time and energy to make the day so special. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Next week marks our last 5-day week of the school year, and we’re keeping the momentum going with more fun end-of-year events! One highlight we’re especially excited about is lunch in the courtyard for our Rainbow Rosebuck Redemption celebration on Wednesday. It’s a great way to end the year on a high note!
Best,
Dr. Ruesch
Dance for a Purpose
Aarohi Chatterjee, a junior at Barrington High School and an alumnus of Rose Elementary is running an event this summer on August 16th. The Dance Without Boundaries Club at the high school, which aims to connect cultures through various dance forms, in conjunction with a non-profit called Dance for a Purpose is raising money this summer for multiple charities through a performance of South Asian dance styles and they are looking for volunteer performers.

Please take a moment to review the flyer below and sign up your child (if they are between birth and 4 years old) to receive these wonderful free books.

5th Graders--Let's Read This Summer!
The BMS 2025 Summer Reading Challenge embraces the theme Find Your Next Chapter, encouraging students to dream big, explore new ideas, and grow through the power of reading.
Read at Least Two Novels: Explore the wide world of literature and choose at least two novels that delve into the theme of friendship. Choose books that spark your individual interests and discover the stories that resonate most with you.
Share Your Experience: At the beginning of the 2025-26 school year, be ready to share your favorite moments and what you've learned about friendship through these stories.
Book Drive
Rose School is hosting a Book Drive for Bernie's Books. We are accepting books for children from birth through HS. The Book Drive will continue until May 30th. Not accepted: sticker and activity books, adult books, textbooks, or books that are damaged.
Summer Library
The Rose School Library will be open to Barrington 220 families during the month of June.
On Wednesdays, from 1:00 to 3:00, students can hear a staff member read aloud, play games, do an activity and, of course, check out library books! All activities will take place in the library.
Stop by on June 4, 11, 18 and 25!
This is not a drop off event. Students must be accompanied by a caregiver. Due to construction, the library will not be open in July or August.
Back to School Bash
The Willow Creek Back to School Bash will be held on Thursday, July 24th, and Friday, July 25th, from 3-8pm. The goal is to provide families in need in our community with free backpacks, school supplies, clothing, hair cuts, dental exams, and more so that students can walk into their classrooms feeling confident as they begin a new school year.
