A Note from Mrs. Pitts
Dear RES Families,
I would like to send a very important message as respectfully as possible. Please do not send your child to school if they are sick. We are sending home quite a few children each day and are seeing an increase in illnesses, for sure. Children must stay home if they have had a fever or have vomited within the last 24 hours. We understand children get colds and can have them for quite some time but we are seeing an increase in the flu and want to prevent further cases, whenever possible. If your child seems very lethargic or unwell, that will prove to be a challenging day here at school. We appreciate your support as we are a community and any help from families to protect all our students from illness is much appreciated!
THANK YOU for your support, as always!!
Warmly,
Michelle Pitts
Last Report Card Message!
The newly formatted report card for RES is coming home tomorrow! These are set up with the NH State Standards, which are END OF YEAR goals for students. Since we are only half way through the school year, most of these standards are still considered “developing” at this point. So please be sure to sing your child’s praise at how much they are learning because there are a LOT of standards!
Report Cards do not need to be returned to school.
Conferences are in March so look forward to this next opportunity to talk about your child's progress. We are so proud of our students and can't wait to talk about them. If you have questions beforehand, please reach out.

Lunch in Our Caf
We invite one family member at a time to have lunch with their child(ren) but this is very optional and we don't want families to feel pressured to attend. This is an occasional event as we do want children to build independence and social skills in the cafeteria, a perfect time for this!
- Email resoffice@sau50.org if you would like to attend with the date/time. It is important to anticipate who will be in the building. We love these opportunities for students and their family members but we will always put safety first.
- Adults must bring their own lunch and can bring lunch for their own child.
- We do have a focus during this time...eating for energy and brain power!
- Family members must meet the child in the cafeteria and leave from the cafeteria.
- Days for family visits are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We do not have lunch visitors on Fridays.
- Lunch times are:
Kindergarten-11:45-12:10
First Grade-12:10-12:35
Second Grade-12:10-12:35
Third Grade- 11:15-11:40

Sledding has Begun!
Students in grades K-4 have been sledding in PE and occasionally in Outdoor Education and are having a blast! In full transparency, this is the first school I have ever worked in with a sledding option and I am sad I missed all those years of school time fun! Ask your child about this experience.
