🐾 Midterms 🐾

Midterm reports are on their way home later today, and they’re a great way for students and parents to check in on how things are going halfway through the first nine weeks! These reports will give you a snapshot of your child's progress in each subject, highlighting areas where they’re doing well and where they might need a bit more support. It’s a chance to celebrate achievements and set goals for improvement. Make sure to take some time to review the report together, discuss any concerns, and plan how to tackle any challenges. Remember, midterms are just one part of the learning journey, and with the right support, every student can continue to grow and succeed!

🐾 Parent - Teacher Conferences🐾

Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place this Wednesday, September 11th and Thursday, September 12th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Attending parent-teacher conferences is encouraged for fostering strong communication and collaboration between parents and educators. These meetings provide an opportunity for parents to gain insights into their child's academic progress and behavior. By attending, parents can better understand their child's strengths and areas for improvement, as well as discuss strategies to support learning at home. Parent-teacher conferences also allow for addressing any concerns early on and establishing a partnership that ensures the student's success. JCMS would like to encourage those who are unable to attend to not hesitate to reach out to their student's teachers through email or Parent Square.

The month of August brought many transitions--new faces, new classrooms, and new routines. With being in new spaces and being around people from different backgrounds, we focused on topics of respect. Ms. Parr (our new 8th grade School Counselor) and Mrs. Cardinal visited Science classes and presented lessons geared towards Self-Respect & Respect for others. At JCMS, we value acceptance, kindness and compassion towards one another. Guidance Lessons are one way to reinforce those values. Ask your child about how they've impacted someone else's life today!
