SEL, Health, Wellness, and Gratitude
Thank you for completing SSIS Surveys for your student(s). Staff will be reviewing this data this week and using it to inform next steps for universal SEL instruction as well as student interventions.
Student Reflections
Students are being asked to reflect on their learning often. This includes reflections of their Power Hour participation and Friday Exploratory. 4th-8th grade students will be engaging in an afternoon of reflecting on their two choice sessions of Friday Exploratory Programming on November 1st. Ask them about what they are doing on Fridays, the goals that they are setting for themselves, and their progress.
Goal: Each child will have at least a year’s growth in math and literacy.
iReady
Students have completed the iReady assessments for Reading and Math. This assessment serves as a screener for teachers as they plan instruction for the year ahead. The results provide us with information that shares what the student knows and what their next steps are in learning. Students will take this assessment again in the Winter and at the end of the year. It is an important tool for measuring growth.
