The PTO Press is our way to recap all the exceptional things going on inside our school. Starting in September, we will highlight our "Three Cs" in our newsletters:

--our signature Cultural immersion program, and

--of course, we can't forget our aCademics.

ALL ORDERS MUST BE PLACED BY 11:00 PM ON SEPTEMBER 2ND. All items will be distributed the week of September 23rd. The PTO historically only sells apparel at the beginning of the year, so this may be your only chance to snag one!

If you are wondering why the 2024/25 Spirit Shirt design is currently TBD, it's because we are waiting for a 4th Grader to design it! The Spirit Shirt Design Contest is currently LIVE! Fourth graders can submit designs through August 19, 2024. Scroll below, or visit heightspto.com for contest rules.

*NOTE: if you are new to the school this year, be sure to grab a Spirit Shirt, because students are permitted to wear Spirit Shirts every Friday.

Here are just some of the items we have for sale. You can see the entire inventory by CLICKING HERE.

Every year the PTO sponsors a contest for fourth grade students to design the year’s Spirit Shirts that can be worn each Friday. This year all fourth graders are invited to submit original artwork with the following themes:

“Alzar el vuelo como un águila"

AND

"Take flight like an eagle."

Students - this is your opportunity to creatively express how much Madison Heights means to you. All artwork must:

Be drawn on a WHITE 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper using BLACK ink - NO COLOR;

Use the themes in BOTH English and Spanish in the design; and

Include the new Keys to Success (Respectful, Responsible, Safe) as part of the design.

Drawings must be completed and turned in by Monday, August 19, 2024. Write your name on your artwork and submit your drawing to your classroom teacher, who will deliver submissions to the PTO mailbox.

Several of the entries will be selected as finalists, and then every student in the school will vote for their favorite design. The design with the most votes will be made into this year's Spirit Shirt!

We are excited to see the creativity our fourth grade Madison Heights Eagles will bring to this contest!

CALL TO ACTION: We need your first-day-of-school photos for the 2024/25 Yearbook! If you have any photos that you would like to share, please email them to yearbook@heightspto.com. We will be asking for yearbook photo contributions throughout the year, so please help us make an album your kids will be excited to look at year after year!!

The PTO is still looking for a few volunteers to fill the following Board roles:

---Cultural Immersion Chair; and

---Fundraising Chair.

There are many other ways you can volunteer! We often need parents to volunteer for school events (such as the Trunk or Treat, Movie Night, etc). We also have the Art Masterpiece program. The PTO is looking for sponsorship opportunities! We have several levels of sponsorship that include advertising/exposure benefits. If you own a business and would like to sponsor an event, please reach out to Ashley, our PTO sponsorship chair, at sponsorship@heightspto.com.
