A note from Mrs. Forbis
Wishing you and your family a restful and refreshing Easter break. Enjoy those special moments with your loved ones.
Midwest March for Life: St. Stanislaus School will be awarded the Prolife School of the Year at the Midwest March for Life on May 1st. We will be sending grades 4th-8th to represent our school and lead the march.
Spelling Bee: We had great representation at the St. Martin's Spelling Bee last week. All the students did an bee-autiful job. Congratulations to Jace Hagner and Ava Wolken who placed 2nd, Chloe Jaegers who placed 6th, and Elle Bruemmer who placed 1st. Thank you to Mrs. Andrews for getting our students ready for this competition.
Legends Bank: Thank you to Amanda Carter from Legends Bank for teaching our 5th graders the importance of saving money. The students also decorated piggy banks that are on display at the bank. Patrons can stop by the bank in Taos and vote for their favorite.
Staff Drinks: Thank you to the Touchette family and Mid American Bank for the Sonic drinks over the last couple of weeks. They were refreshing and definitely hit the spot.
COPE: Our 7th graders participated in the COPE (Communication Offers Positive Environment) program this week hosted by the Council for Drug Free Youth. CDFY provided our students with decision making and coping skills when it comes to substance abuse and mental health issues.
TEAM: Our 8th graders participated in a TEAM challenge this week hosted by the Council for Drug Free Youth. This challenge encourages trust, understanding, and acceptance among peers through communication as well as substance abuse prevention.
Easter Egg Hunt: Student Council hosted an Easter egg hunt for our PreK and kindergarten students. They had an egg-cellent time finding Easter eggs. The Easter bunny also made a guest appearance.
First Communion Centers: As our 2nd graders prepare for their upcoming First Communion, they participated in various centers this week. Each center expanded their knowledge and spiritual connection. Please continue to pray for these young students during their journey to making their 1st Communion.
Welcome Back: Welcome back, Mrs. Stockman. Mrs. Stockman returned from maternity leave on Monday. She is grateful to have had that time with her son, Wesley.
Many blessings,
Mrs. Forbis
