Achieve Rewards
The goal of Achieve is for students to increase their Lexile levels by completing activities. The recommended number of activities students should complete per semester is 40 (at 75% or above). Some of the prizes will include a reward card students can use to redeem prizes at the ASB, a semester raffle for students who complete 40 activities or more, and class competition pizza party (through English classes). Please note that even though students will be receiving prizes through their English classes, prizes will be based on activities completed in ALL of their classes.

What is Creative Commons?
If you’re looking for content that you and your students can freely and legally use, there is a giant pool of Creative Commons licensed creativity available to you. There are hundreds of millions of works — from songs, pictures and videos — available to the public for free and legal use under the terms of our copyright licenses, with more being contributed every day.
Creative Commons is a nonprofit organization that enables the sharing and use of creativity and knowledge through free legal tools. Free, easy-to-use copyright licenses provide a simple, standardized way to give the public permission to share and use your creative work — on conditions of your choice. CC licenses let you easily change your copyright terms from the default of “all rights reserved” to “some rights reserved.”
Encourage your students to visit the Creative Commons website to find images for their projects. It's important that students be aware that they are plagiarizing by not citing their sources. Students should be in the habit of always getting permission and giving credit to the sources they use. Using the Commons is an easy, safe way to make sure you are not using copyrighted material without the creator's consent.
