Catholic Education WA Priorities
Western Australia is the only State in Australia which does not provide any capital grant assistance to non-Government schools. Much of the capital costs, such as new buildings and playgrounds, are made possible through fees and fundraising efforts from parents, like the Bake Sale at yesterdayβs Faction Carnival.
As we approach the State Election, Catholic Education WA seeks a commitment from the Government of Western Australia for an annual capital grant of $25 million for Catholic schools and an injection of funds to support capital works in the Kimberley regions where CEWA is the sole provider of education. Please see the below key facts to assist all parents to be advocates for their childβs Catholic education.
Swimming Lessons - Term 4
Swimming lessons commence in early term 4 for years 1- 6 . Swimming enrolment forms and information letter went home this week in communication bags.
Please return the forms by Friday 20 September. Thank you

Uniform Reminder
With the warmer weather ahead and heading into term 4 , please make sure you are heading to Tudor uniforms in Wangara for all your uniform purchases. A reminder that now is great time to purchase summer uniform in preparation for next year too, where our new uniform will be compulsory for all years.
Semester 2 Uniform Days
A special big special big sincere thank you to all our generous families who attended and donated books to our Library at our Book Fair this year. Your kind βCharityβ will now enrich our students with their education. We are so thankful! We managed to sell a massive $5,020.00, giving our school a whooping $1,757.00 to spend on brand new books for our school library!
Our Scholastic Fair winners of the colouring in competition are as follows:
Harper (Kindy), Annie L. (Pre-Primary), Ava (Year 1), Lincoln (Year 2), Mia (Year 3),
Faith (Year 4), Sammy (Year 5) and Gloria (Year 6).
Congratulations to our winners!
Our Lolly Jar winner was Locklen with the exact amount of 408 Lollies. He had help from a valuable class member Donell. They used mathematical equations to work this amount even though we know it is still the maths of chance.
We truly appreciate all those parents who have given up their time to cover books for our library. You all are fantastic role models for your children. Thank you.π
Kind Regards
Alli Burgess

Dear Parent and Carers,
This 2024 survey is a follow up to a similar survey conducted by Catholic School Parents Australia (CSPA) in 2022, which was completed by 6,286 Australian Catholic school parents.
The parent views and experiences shared through the 2022 Parent Survey on Student Wellbeing and Learning, helped CSPA to advise the Australian Government, the National Catholic Education Commission (NCEC) and State, Territory and Diocesan Catholic Education Offices on key issues concerning parents with children and/or young people in Australian Catholic Schools. The 2022 survey clearly identified the concerns that many parents/carers have for their childrenβs wellbeing.
By completing the 2024 survey, you will be helping CSPA to continue reporting on existing and emerging affirmations/challenges, in relation to the wellbeing and learning of our school-aged children.
It is only by having your voice heard that you can make a difference and influence decisions. We have noticed that wellbeing is now high on the agenda for most of our school communities, for both staff and students and in many cases the wider community - this is a positive step forward for which we are most grateful.
To continue to inform the discussion please feel free to complete this current survey by clicking on the link or scanning the QR code: 2024 National Parent Survey
