What a fantastic week for KESD athletics! Our 7th-grade softball team powered their way to a decisive victory against North Country on Monday, while the 8th-grade softball squad also celebrated a win on the road against Blue Mountain. The 7th-grade North baseball team faced a tough battle against North County, ultimately falling short by just two runs as daylight faded, showcasing their tenacity and determination until the very last moment. Meanwhile, our South 7th/8th-grade baseball team hosted Craftsbury for an exciting home game on Thursday night.

Beyond the diamond, our KESD track team delivered an outstanding performance at their home meet, with both the boys' and girls' teams proudly taking first place overall! It's clear that all our young athletes are putting in tremendous effort, demonstrating impressive skill and fantastic sportsmanship across the fields and track.

Don't miss your chance to cheer on two of our baseball teams, the 7th Grade North verse the 7th/8th South team tonight at VSU Lyndon and the 8th-grade teams this Saturday, with the boys taking the field at home at 11:00 AM and the girls following up with their home game at 2:00 PM. Let's show them our KESD pride!

We have a few shoutouts this week for some truly outstanding support within our KESD athletic community! First and foremost, our deepest gratitude goes to the Lyndon Institute Coaching Staff and Track Team for their generosity in hosting the KESD track meet this past Wednesday night. The sheer task of managing so many athletes and numerous events is no small feat, and we simply could not provide our middle schoolers with a home meet experience without their invaluable collaboration. The meet ran incredibly smoothly, and we even received compliments on the exceptional organization from coaches of visiting teams – all credit goes to the dedicated coaching staff and athletes at Lyndon Institute for their unwavering support of our middle school program.

Additionally, a special shoutout to Erin Rossetti for capturing so many fabulous action shots and memories at Wednesday's track meet! All of the track photos in this newsletter were taken by Erin. Erin is a true support of all Kingdom East atheltics and helps with anything asked of her, at any time. Thank you Erin, we appreciate you.

Our final shoutout of the week goes to Ashley Stoddard, a parent of a 7th-grade player, for her thoughtful gesture of generously bringing snacks to the games for the entire team. Thank you Ashley, we appreciate you and your generosity.
