WE MISS YOU!
We miss hearing the chatter as we walk through the hallways and the laughter from the kids on the playground. With all of the quiet, we have been able to pay extra attention and hear the birds starting to chirp and we have seen some buds on a few trees. Tell tale signs that spring is here. With our pace of life slowing down dramatically, it helps us to cherish the precious moments with our families and reflect on what’s important. We want to let you all know that we sincerely miss seeing our students in person each day and please know that we are still here for you and thinking of you. We want our students to feel comforted and at ease. Please tell them we miss them.
If there are any basic needs that you need assistance with, (food, technology access) please reach out. You may reach out to us directly, our contact info is below. Although this is a difficult time and it was something that came so fast, we are amazed by the kindness and generosity of others. There are so many people that are willing to help and give. It shows that in difficult times there are always people helping and smiling. We got this!
Sending lots of love,

DAVIS PRIMARY NEWS
E-LEARNING
What a great first week of e-learning! We so appreciate parents and teachers partnering together to continue to build and apply skills for our young learners. Thank you for your patience and flexibility as we explore new resources and methods of communication. Please share your experiences at home with your classroom teacher or with me at dliechty@d303.org. We value your feedback to help us as we plan for learning next week.
WE DID IT!
Families, you did an amazing job of retrieving Grade Level Activities and Tools from our bins outside the building. It was fun to see parents and/or students sleuthfully approach the bins and get their desired prize. Even more fun . . . to see posted pictures of families using those math games and writing materials. If you are one of the very few that could not make it this week, give the office a call and we will arrange for a pick-up. These tools will support your students during this time of e-learning.
RICHMOND INTERMEDIATE NEWS
E-LEARNING
We thank you so much for your patience during our first week of e-learning. Please tell your students they are doing an amazing job! I am absolutely amazed at how quickly teachers were able to develop a plan for our students. They have surpassed all expectations! We are trying to streamline the process and working really hard to send one communication before 9 a.m. each day to outline the day’s work. We are working hard to follow a consistent template and process to help our families and students navigate e-learning. We appreciate any feedback that you have to make this process better. What are we doing well and what do you think we can do to improve. Feel free to send suggestions to your child’s teacher or myself at lisa.simoncelli-bulak@d303.org. This is new for all of us and we want to make sure your child is getting a meaningful learning experience.
RICHMOND E-LEARNING AND DAILY NEWS
Beginning on Monday, when teachers send out the work for the day, there will be a link to a presentation that will have the daily news and specials for the day. We have spread out specials to two times a day to even out the week. The specials schedule is as follows for the entire building. FLES stands for Foreign language - students take either Spanish or French. CASTLE is a special for students that do not attend foreign language. Your child knows if they attend CASTLE.

STUDENT ONLINE SHOW AND TELL WITH MS. DIXON
On Monday, March 23rd at 11:00 AM, Mrs. Dixon will be hosting an online Show and Tell session. The purpose of this session is for students to see and interact with each other and to build our Richmond online community. This is not a required activity. Students may participate only if they would like to. During the connection students should have 1 item that they would like to share with others. Each student will have 30 seconds to a minute to talk about their item. The sharing time will depend on how many students actually login. The activity is limited to the first 100 students to login. If there seems to be interest we may have more activities like these if there is a demand. If your child would like to participate please have them go to this link at 11:00 am on Monday. Mrs. Dixon will also be posting this link in the SciTech Google Classrooms. We hope to see some students in person and live!

This message is a reminder to elementary school families that the Intra-District transfer window for the 2020-2021 school year opens on April 7 at 8:00 a.m.
For the 2020-2021 school year, ALL elementary students have been assigned to their attendance area school by the District. This includes elementary students currently attending a school on an intra-district transfer.
An Intra-District Transfer Request must be submitted online no sooner than 8:00 a.m. on the first Tuesday following spring break (April 7, 2020) and no later than 4:00 p.m. on the third Monday following (April 20). If you are requesting a transfer for more than one child, a separate request must be submitted for each. Due to fluctuating class sizes at schools and each grade level, siblings are not guaranteed placement. If granted, transportation is the responsibility of the parents.
