School Updates
Hello, Evergreen Families!
We have reached the end of March and heading into a well-deserved Spring Break. March was full of excitement, activities, learning, and more. We welcomed back our Evergreen Talent Show, Poetry Festival, Fun-Run, and we just experienced our first in-person Open House Event in four years!
State assessments will begin in April. This is an important time for our 3rd-5th grade students. Our teaching and support staff have worked extremely hard all year, teaching the state standards and providing our students with rigorous and engaging lessons. Please read the attached information about CAASPP and review the slides as well. If you have any questions or need additional information about CAASPP, please get in touch with our Elementary Learning Specialist, Mrs. Elisabeth Jones @ ejones@wvusd.org
Below you will find photos of various activities, important dates, and flyers for your information. Please take the time to read our newsletter and contact the school if you have any questions or need additional information.
Please note that our newsletter is once a month. However, please join our Class Dojo, Instagram, and Twitter for up-to-date information. Also, emails from our school's office will be sent with important news and additional updates as needed. Thank you, Evergreen Community, for all you do for our school! Have a wonderful weekend.

Message from Mona Hwang, ECC President
Hello Evergreen Families,
There are just 2 months left in the school year, but Community Club still has a lot planned before summer break.
Plushies - The eagle plushies are back! Look out for a flyer to reserve your Eagle plushie that will come wearing a newly designed 2022-2023 Evergreen t-shirt. Unicorns, dogs and bears will also available.
Yearbook - Don’t forget to place your 2022/23 yearbook online to reserve your copy. Only limited quantities of extra copies will be available at the end of the school year. Details are in the flyer below. If you ordered your yearbook online, you should have received a receipt from School Portraits by Adams Photography. If you are not sure whether you ordered one, please email evergreencommunityclub@gmail.com.
Monthly Meeting - Our next monthly ECC meeting will be on Friday, April 14 at 8:30 a.m. Attending the monthly meetings is a great way to connect with other Evergreen parents, have a voice in how donation dollars are spent, and present any questions you may have about the school or Community Club. It’s not too late to get involved. If you would like more information, please contact us at evergreencommunityclub@gmail.com
Thank you parent volunteers for contributing your time and talents to help with all the fundraisers and events. All your efforts contribute to helping our Eagles SOAR! Community Club is 100% volunteer based and we could not do it without you!
We hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Open House returns to in-person after four years!
Thank you, Evergreen community, for a fantastic Open House! More than 1,000 people attended this year's event, which included a science fair, student and staff introductions, a special performance by our Student Council, and classroom tours. Our Evergreen Community Club transformed our entrance and stage with a beautiful balloon arch, banners, and various decorations. The Community Club also sold pizza, boba, Dippin' Dots, and Evergreen spirit gear!
Open House was a memorable event filled with smiling faces, incredible classrooms, and a great atmosphere!
