Welcome To Week #15
Dear Brahma Family,
Our Boys Water Polo team fought hard, but fell to the eventual CIF Champions from South Pasadena High School in their Semifinal match on Tuesday. In Golf, Juliet Oh finished in second place in the Southern California Girls High School Championship Tournament with an impressive five-under-par 69 on Thursday. She will play for the State Championship in the California Girls Golf Championships on Wednesday at San Gabriel Country Club. Good luck, Juliet!
Congratulations to our Mock Trial Team for making it through the early rounds of this year’s L.A. County Competition and into the Top 16.
This week our Winter Sports kick off the pre-season. All levels of Girls Basketball and Girls Soccer will play home games on Tuesday, while Boys Soccer will be at home on Wednesday. Boys Basketball and Wrestling will be participating in tournaments this week.
On Saturday, the Thundering Herd will compete in the Arcadia Festival of Bands, aiming to continue their dominance on the street in the final event of the Marching Band season. Diamond Bar has won the Sweepstakes Award in the Arcadia Band Review eight out of the past nine years. Go Brahmas!

25th Annual Teddy Bear Tea
Close to three decades ago, Bob and Gayle Pacheco, founding members of WVEF, bumped into a WVUSD teacher at the old Kmart in Diamond Bar. She mentioned she was buying school supplies for her classroom. After going to another store, they saw the same teacher again buying more school supplies. This encounter sparked the idea to raise funds to provide grants to teachers, so they wouldn't have to pay out of pocket for classroom necessities. This led to the creation of the WVEF Teddy Bear Tea and the Teacher's Mini-Grants. Last year's Teddy Bear Tea provided funding for over 60 grants, making a significant impact in our local classrooms. Please join us for the 25th anniversary of the Teddy Bear Tea on Saturday, December 7th, at the Diamond Bar Center
