School Life Committee Elections
June 5th, 2024
Dear Families,
Our School Life Committee is an important part of the Holy Name community. The SLC is responsible for planning family events, fundraising, and increasing family involvement. I am grateful for all of the events and fundraising the SLC has done for the school this past year as well as the feedback on ways to engage our families in the school community.
We are looking to grow the SLC to increase family involvement. We have had a group of parents who have been actively involved in the SLC, but we have seen a decline in attendance at meetings over the past few months. We are looking to change that and provide families with more opportunities to be involved. In order to do this, the SLC has proposed new leadership positions for family members of students. This will not only help us to stay organized as a group, but it will allow for further involvement and engagement with families. Below you will see a list of the new leadership roles.
Parents will have the opportunity to sign up to run for these positions at our meeting on Wednesday, June 5th. Those in attendance will then vote. All parents are able to sign up to run for one of these leadership positions, even if they are not currently involved. We are hoping to have parents from all grade levels.
I hope you will consider joining us on Wednesday and becoming involved in our growing school community.I hope you will consider joining us on Wednesday and becoming involved in our growing school community.
Sincerely,
Megan dos Santos
