MAP Testing:
Our 1-4 students will continue with MAP testing next week and other beginning of the year baseline assessments.
Safety Drills:
We will start some of our safety drills next week and finish in the following week. We will be practicing our fire drill, bus evacuation drill, earthquake drill, and lockdown drills.
Some reminders for our families:
Please keep in mind that your child needs to know when they arrive to school what their plan is for lunch. Did they bring a lunch from home or do they need to order a lunch? Lunch count is taken upon arrival. If you plan to bring a lunch from home later your child will need to know that so they look on the lunch cart and don't order/get a hot lunch.
It is very important that you indicate on School Dismissal Manager how your student is getting home and those exceptions are put in prior to 1:25.
After School Activities:
Burr Ridge Park District sponsors some onsite activities: Chess, Young Rembrandts, and Spanish. Sign-ups are going on now through the Burr Ridge Park District website.
Foundation has once again brought BAM theater back for another opportunity. See registration information below.
Gower West hosts activities after school for 3rd and 4th graders: Chorus, sign-up coming soon, and Basketball, starts in October.
