We've had four fun weeks of Monday Funday. Monday Funday will return on April 3rd and will continue for all four weeks in April. If any student is interested in joining a Monday Funday class, we do have a limited amount of spots available. Please contact our school for more information.

We are so proud of our Robotics team for bringing home the state championship AGAIN! We were thrilled to have a small parade for them in our big field and to have the Waialua High and Intermediate Band to play for us! Click on the video below to watch the parade!

Ms. Brooks’ class made love bugs for Valentine’s Day and then wrote about them in their journals. The love bugs were a hit! The bugs were made from fuzzy balls and they attached antennas, wings, heart feet and little hearts around them. The students wrote about what their love bugs looked like, what they could do and why they loved them.

First graders were able to teach their parents how to make their own butterfly rod puppet.

2nd grade worked on engineering this week. Students used critical thinking skills to use materials and make their own design. Then, they got to launch Valentine Candy Hearts.

3rd Grade got to experience some Makahiki games with their Kumu Kuʻuipo during Hawaiian Studies. It was a great way for them to learn about Hawaiian culture, and to take a break from class and enjoy some time outside.

We had a blast during our fitness day at Waialua District Park. Students participated in different activities such as Javelin Throw, Blender Biker, Huli Chicken, and Yoga. Students were also exposed to the proper way to perform CPR.

Forgiveness means choosing to let go of anger and resentment toward yourself or someone else, to surrender thoughts of revenge, and to move forward with your personal power intact.

There are scientifically proven benefits from those who practice Forgiveness with the Choose Love program.

Calling all ocean lovers! Our fifth-grade teacher and paddling coach, Ms. Felz, announced the 2023 Open House for Hale'iwa Outrigger Canoe Club (ages 9+)! She also revealed a new merit scholarship opportunity for Hale'iwa student-athletes. Students in grades 4, 5, and 6 will receive a flyer with information. Preventing tooth decay in children improves overall health and helps children achieve academic success. In celebration of National Children’s Dental Health Month, please read about two events below that will help enhance our keikis ability to stay healthy and ready to learn.

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month, and Hawaii Dental Service (HDS) is holding their annual HDS Tooth Fairy Fun Day on Sunday, February 26th from 10am to 2pm @ the Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center. Families can have some fun while keiki can learn how to take better care of their teeth!
