Fridays During Lent
Junior High students (Elementary students are invited as well) will attend Stations of the Cross together in the church on Friday afternoons at 2:30pm during Lent. This will happen on March 1st, 8th, and 22nd. We are kindly asking that if you need to check-out your child on Friday afternoons, please notify us ahead of time and plan to arrive before 2:30pm. Thank you for your cooperation!

Monday, Mar. 4th: Awareness Day
To celebrate National Reading Month, students may donate $1 to support The Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation and come to school dressed in a Red or Blue shirt or Viking Spirit wear shirt and blue or black jeans or uniform bottoms. Please have your child give their donation to their homeroom teacher. The Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation aims to improve lives through the power of literacy.
Lenten Service Project: Books Between Kids
They do accept cash donations through the website as well. They will go purchase books they need.

Tuesday, Mar. 5th: Spirit Night
We kindly request that you actively supervise your child(ren) throughout all school related events to guarantee their safety and well-being. By doing so, we contribute to creating a positive experience for everyone involved. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated, as it enhances the overall atmosphere of our school community events. Thank you!
Mark Your Calendar! St. Theresa Little Flower Plant Sale opens 3/8
We are excited to announce that our 2nd bi-annual plant sale opens March 8th! Online orders can be made via the QGIVE online store (link will be in peek next week) through April 5th and plant pickup will be Saturday, April 13th from the St. Theresa gym. There will be no plants available for sale on pickup day so get your orders in starting March 8th!
All proceeds go directly to Campus Beautification projects, our current focus is Phase 2 of the Living Privacy Wall around our athletic fields. Phase 1 of 3 was completed in February. Thank you to all the families that contributed.
You can buy plants for yourself, friends and family or make direct donations to the Living Privacy Wall and associated irrigation costs.

Sunday, Mar. 17th: School Spirit Sunday
Spirit Sunday mass is Sunday, March 17th at 10am. Please consider signing up your child to serve. Servers, Readers, Gift Bearers and Greeters must arrive to mass between 9:30am and 9:40am.
Readers will practice at the Ambo before mass to ensure it is at the right height.
You will earn a service hour to be submitted to Deacon Tom the following week at school.

Friday, Mar. 22nd: Lenten Fish Fry
Lenten Fish Fry – March 22nd 4-7pm
Hosted by the St. Theresa Dad’s Club
$10 per plate w/ proceeds benefitting St. Theresa Catholic School’s PTO
This Lenten season the St. Theresa Catholic School Dad’s Club will be hosting a Fish Fry March 22nd from 4-7pm.
In preparation for this event, we will use an online form that allows customers to “pre-order” their plates. Each plate will include fried fish filets, coleslaw, hush puppies, and a drink.
Orders are to-go only and will be available for pickup starting at 4pm and will end at 7pm. We will be located in the parking lot of the school gym and will post signs detailing the pickup route.
NJHS Tutoring Program
The National Junior Honor Society would like to offer support to those children who may need a little help academically. We would like to offer one-on-one tutoring for children in grades 1st-5th for only $5 per session. The tutors are scholars who maintain a 93 cumulative average. Mrs. Revia will be on hand to supervise and assist.
When: Tuesdays (no tutoring during Holidays)
Time: 3:15-3:45pm
Cost: $5 per session
Location: New School Building Science Lab
Student Pick-Up: Main Office Doors at 3:45pm

St. Theresa Catholic School is now accepting new student applications for the 2024-2025 school year! If you have friends or family that are interested in joining us next year, our application is available on our website under Admissions Process.

Be proactive and get your FACTS Tuition Assistance Application completed. Our students may qualify for tuition assistance from three different funds: the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Tuition Assistance Fund, the St. Theresa Work of Love Fund*, and ACE Scholarships.
*Please note that filing an Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance application through FACTS is required for all tuition assistance applicants to St. Theresa.

IWA: Look 'n Lead
Incarnate Word Academy Young Leaders Program is hosting a leadership workshop for 7th and 8th grade girls. Look ‘n Lead is a one-day interactive leadership workshop led by current IWA students who look forward to passing on the skills they have learned within our leadership program and empowering the next generation of young women. Look ‘n Lead is focused on developing the leader within through reflection, communication, collaboration, and some great lessons led by our students. We hope your daughter will join us!
St. Agnes Academy Summer Programs

St. Thomas: Spring Academic Skills Camp for Middle School Students
In Pathways to Independent Learning, students are given tools and strategies to take charge of the learning process. They will be able to take full responsibility for choosing effective approaches to long-term learning. Students need the skills and strategies of independent learning to excel in any learning environment or situation. Research has proven that facility and practice of executive functioning skills and critical thinking is a greater predictor of student success than IQ. Students who develop the skills of independent learning are better able to adapt and succeed when they encounter obstacles.
Typhoon Texas Kids Triathlon
Registration for the Typhoon Texas Kids triathlon registration is open. We have created a St. Theresa team for everyone who would like to participate and 10% of the entry fee will be donated back to the school for every kid who joins. The race is super fun (and super safe...they swim in a lazy river and have plenty of volunteers on the course). The kids also get an entry to Typhoon Texas with their race fee that they can use that day or anytime over the summer.
There is a Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 option. Most of the St. Theresa kids will race on Sunday.
Is your child interested in participating but never done a triathlon, no worries! We will plan to hold some clinics in February and March to teach the kids the basics. Please contact Christy Lan at bohannon5@hotmail.com with any questions.
