2025 MSLA Bookmark Contest
The Massachusetts School Library Association's annual Bookmark Contest has started! We welcome all Minuteman students to design a bookmark for the theme "Find your path in the library." Click on the poster below for the Bookmark Contest submission form and use this link to open an informational PowerPoint about the contest. Entries are due to the library by January 17th.
Cookbook Culture is What's Cooking
The cookbook reviews are in! Juniors in Culinary Arts & Hospitality recently wrote professional-style cookbook reviews on culturally themed cookbooks. Look for some recipe highlights in the District Restaurant and Cafe soon!
Check out our growing cookbook collection in the library and on Sora. All of the cookbooks shown below received positive reviews from the students.
Portfolio Progress
It's the time of year when students and teachers start identifying projects to include in their Minuteman portfolios.
Locate the portfolio checklists, reflection templates, and more on the library resource guide and Aspen / Group Resources / Portfolio folder.
See below for some of the ways Minuteman portfolios have been used recently!
Now that you can find it on ClassLink, citing your sources in NoodleTools is easier than ever.
Recognized as a "Best Digital Tool for Teaching and Learning," by the American Association of School Libraries (2022), NoodleTools helps keep all your research in one easily accessible location. Use it to create citations, take notes, make an outline for a paper or project, and share or collaborate with teachers and other students.
Would you like some help getting started with NoodleTools? Check in with the library, try our resource guide, or use the NoodleTools Help Desk. Teachers, we would be glad to help students get started with NoodleTools for class projects!
Books & Crafts Book Club
Join the Minuteman Book Club in the library after school on the last Monday of each month.
In addition to good books, good company, discussion, and snacks, we do a book-page-themed craft at each meeting. Check out the book page bow and box created by DVC junior Sophie Palmer!
Monthly Activities: Contests & Crafts
Our 'Match the Selfie to the Shelfie' Winner!
Thank you to everyone who submitted votes for our 'Match the Selfie to the Shelfie' Contest! Many students matched three teachers to their home bookshelves correctly, and Kamilla Valades was the lucky winner. Congratulations to Kamilla!

Next Contest: Winter Library Quarterly Reading Contest
The Winter Library Quarterly Reading contest will run until January 24th. Scan the QR code (or click on the poster below) and fill out a form every time you finish a book between now and the end of the quarter. All participants will be entered to win a gift card! Bragging rights will go to the shop that reads the most!
'Tis the season for reading! Stop by the library to check out books for the winter break.
Reminders: Come to the Library & Find Us on ClassLink!
