Greetings MacArthur Families,
Congratulations to all of our Kindergarten students on their tremendous play this morning, "On the Same Day in March!" The students shared their knowledge of weather around the world in March, directly connected to what they are learning in literacy. We look forward to our upcoming showcase events across each grade level as we move into spring. Stay tuned for updates from your child(ren)'s teachers for these special events!
This Week: Our 3rd graders enjoyed an enrichment presentation from Rainforest Reptiles on Wednesday, courtesy of the PTO. This special program was a wonderful connection to their animal research in Literacy.
Thank you to all who joined us for this week's PTO Meeting and Principals' Forum to hear updates from our MacArthur School administrative team, as well as hear all about the exciting events upcoming from the PTO. See the full update below from the PTO about March 28th's Rafflemania and the 2nd annual MacArthur 5K on April 12th.
Next Week: Both Wednesday 3/19 and 3/26 are Early Release Days. Dismissal is at 1pm and school lunch will be served.
Our Read Across America Themed Friday for this week (Friday, March 21st) is Wild about Reading! (Animal Print / Mix and Match Day).
This Month: Spring Picture Day will take place on Thursday, March 27th. Class pictures will be taken. Individual pictures for students who wish to take them will also be available. We will share a calendar of upcoming school wide events in this space next week.
Finally, the 5th grade committee has an Orange Theory fitness fundraiser event on Sunday. See below for more information. Have a wonderful weekend!
