Hello Poway Families,

The Poway High PTSA is excited to participate again in PUSD’s Giving Tree program this season!

Please help us spread the holiday cheer by purchasing an item on the registries below to support five Poway families in need attending PUSD schools. There are gift options for the kids and options to purchase some household items that the families have requested. We are also looking for gift card donations for the families to help them make purchases for other essentials (e.g., Target, Amazon, Walmart, Grocery Stores, and Gas). Target and Amazon gift cards can be purchased through the links below, and all others can be dropped off at Poway High School’s front office. The deadline to donate items is December 5, 2024.

I have created registries at Target and Amazon to make it easier for everyone.

Click on the link below. Choose the Order Pick Up in Poway option. Then, choose Alternate Pick Up Person and type in Isa Evonsion. I will pick up all the gifts and deliver them to Poway Unified.

Trimester 2 5.5 Classes start on Monday, December 2, 2024.

To view the schedule and sign up, please follow these steps:

• View Schedule: 24-25 Trimester 2 5.5 Class Schedule
• Sign Up: Complete the 5.5 Student Contract and submit a hard copy to the teacher by Friday, December 6, 2024.

5.5 classes are optional, offering 2.5 elective credits each (maximum of two per trimester) and are graded on a pass/fail basis.

Starting November 5th, Lacrosse Coaches Owen Springett and Jay Belasco will be offering open workouts every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. These sessions will focus on keeping the body mobile and health with emphasis on athletic mobility and explosive exercises.

This is a friendly reminder to order your graduation items (including your cap and gown) as soon as possible if you haven't ordered yet.

Hi Titans, If you missed our September workshop for ROTC scholarship opportunities, we are excited to host another workshop in November with U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC). Whether you're curious about service or exploring different pathways for your future, this event is for you! Hosted by 2d Lt Alex Macdonald, received his commission as a Reserve Officer Training Corps Graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. He will go on to attend Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. No Sign-up is required. Save the date for November 21st during lunch in the Titan Center!

Please note if a test center decides to close, students will receive direct notification from the College Board. You can register for the SAT at the College Board website here. You can register for the ACT at the ACT website here. We will have more information for the PSAT in August 2024.
