VAPA Arch Design Project news!
Thanks to a generous grant from the Jill Hardman Endowment with Coronado Schools Foundation, VES hired a professional painter to beautify our campus and update our four arch murals. 5th Graders worked hard to create Arch Designs last month, then every student and teacher got to vote on the designs they want in the arches at Village. Below are the images we all picked! They are due to be painted this summer – 5th graders please come back to visit and see them!

CAASPP Testing
CAASPP Testing Reminders
Computers: Please make sure your child gets into a routine of charging his/her Chromebook the evening before school. They will need to come to school each day with a fully charged Chromebook.
Additional Devices: Students will be required to store cell phones, smartwatches, or other electronic devices in their backpacks when they are taking the CAASPP test. The only computers permitted are the school issued Chromebooks.
Headphones: Each student has been issued headphones or wired earbuds to use while at school. If your child prefers using their own headphones or earbuds, they may do so. Please note wireless/Bluetooth headphones or earbuds cannot be used during CAASPP.
At Home Preparation: The most important thing parents can do for their child during CAASPP testing is to ensure that their child is well-rested. It is important to have enough sleep so students can feel refreshed and ready to go in the morning. Please make sure your child also eats a nutritious breakfast at home or attends the school breakfast (7:40AM-8:00AM). Don’t forget to provide your child with a healthy snack and water bottle. Lastly, send your child to school with a positive affirmation.
Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding state testing.
Sincerely,
Tanya White
