Summer Break!
Dear River Hill Families,
To be honest, I am always just a little happy at the end of the school year and the last school newsletter—a respite from working on Sunday afternoons (LOL!).
As summer approaches, we all find ourselves on the brink of a new adventure. Summer is a time for relaxation, exploration, and personal growth. It is a chance for us all to rejuvenate, recharge, and embrace new experiences. Whether you plan to travel, spend time with loved ones, engage in a hobby, or simply take a well-deserved break, I hope you make the most of this opportunity.
To my students, take this summer as a chance to reflect upon your achievements, set new goals, and nourish your passions. Embrace every moment of this summer break, and return to school in the fall with renewed enthusiasm and an eagerness to continue your educational journey.
To parents, I again extend my my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and partnership this year. You all welcomed me with open arms into the River Hill community. As we embark on this summer break, I encourage you to cherish these precious moments with your children. Engage in activities that foster their curiosity, promote their well-being, and allow them to flourish as individuals.
While we bid farewell to the academic year, please remember that the doors to River Hill are always open. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact someone at the school.
At this time of year, it is my bittersweet privilege to wish some very esteemed colleagues the best as they retire or transition to other positions from River Hill at the conclusion of the school year. These friends and mentors have devoted their careers to education, sharing both the delights and demands of learning, coaxing our students toward their potential, and serving as a model for lifelong learning. We are enormously grateful to these teachers and staff for their contributions to our school and our students.
Retirements:
Dr. Roger Demaree, Mathematics
Ms. Victoria Mariano, CTE – Computer Science

Mr. Eric McDonald, Spanish

Have a great summer!
Warmest regards,
Robert A. Motley
