PARENT INVOLVEMENT
MCHS 2025 DIVISION ASSURANCE SURVEY
Dear MCHS Parents and Guardians,
Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools values your opinion. As part of our Assurance process, we ask that you share your perspective through our Division Assurance Survey at the link or QR code below. Results from this survey will be used to inform planning and make decisions at both the school and divisional level for the 2025/2026 school year.
All parents and staff, as well as students in grades 4-12, will be given the opportunity to complete the survey. Surveys are completely anonymous.
Families with children at more than one GSACRD school are asked to complete a survey for each site.
The survey will remain open from Thursday, November 28, 2024 to Friday, December 20, 2024.
Please note: If you have a child in grade 4, 7, or 10, you may receive a similar survey from Alberta Education toward the end of January. If so, we would encourage you to complete both surveys. Our divisional survey is being administered earlier in the school year to avoid overlap and encourage participation.
We thank you in advance for sharing your feedback; your time is appreciated.

SAFE AND CARING SCHOOLS
As we begin the season of Advent, it’s a perfect time to reflect on the year gone by and cultivate gratitude in our hearts. For our kids,, embracing a growth mindset—seeing challenges as opportunities for growth—can help them approach the future with optimism and resilience. By focusing on their progress and what they've learned, they can better appreciate the journey, even amidst obstacles. For more information on growth mindset, check out this article from Big Life Journal!
This Advent season, encourage your teens to reflect on what they’re grateful for and share those moments as a family. These practices of gratitude strengthen emotional well-being and foster a deeper connection with the present moment. Let’s guide our teens to enter this holiday season with open hearts, embracing both the joy and the growth that comes with it. Try out some gratitude affirmations with your child, or Kickstand’s MoreGoodDays service for a daily dose of inspiration! Get started by texting MoreGoodDays to 393939.
Wishing you a season filled with peace, hope, and reflection!

Gospel Reading - Luke 21:25-28,34-36
That word - APOCALYPSE - has all kinds of scary meanings with it. Fire from the sky. Zombies. End of the world. What it really refers to is an unveiling. A revealing of the things that make us anxious. And a suggestion that we may have fallen asleep to the troubles of the world. Advent is a call to wake up.
