March 8 and 11
PRHS final exams are half days due to the importance of the assessments and to provide students with ample studying time. Students will arrive at school during regular hours, but they will leave at 11:20. The busses will take them home at this time. Also, we do not serve lunch on these days. Final Exams cannot be given early. Please remind your students that they need to bring their Chromebook fully charged for final exams.

Daylights Savings begins Sunday, March 10th at 2:00 AM. Remember to set your clocks one hour ahead when Daylight Saving Time begins.
PRHS Festival of Nations

5pm- 9pm
Come out to experience our annual spring event sponsored by PRHS Student Council’s Outreach Committee. Immerse yourself in our cultural regions from around the world hosted by our PRHS clubs. Enjoy tasty snacks and fun activities as you visit the various country booths. (5pm-6:45pm)Then head over to the Commons where you can enjoy our cultural food line by trying out different foods from all around the world. (5:30pm-6:30pm)*
Finally end the evening with our most exciting part- the Cultural Showcase. Featuring our Parade of Flags, Fashion from Around the World, and the Talent Show in the PRHS Theater. (7pm-9pm)*

Ticket purchases will give you access to our Cultural Food Line which includes tastes of foods from around the world. You will also have passes to attend the live showing in our theater for seating to our Cultural Showcase which features the parade of flags as well as fashion and talent show acts from around the world.
Please visit our ticket table at the main entrance to validate your ticket and receive your wristband.
There is limited theater seating available (450 spots) so please purchase your tickets early to ensure a seat!
Access to our Cultures Around the World Experience (culture booths) as well as live streaming of our Culture Showcase in the commons will be free to our attendees.

Ridge Recovery and School Plus Sign up
Ridge Recovery is a credit recovery program for students in all grade levels who did not pass a class and earned a final grade between the ranges of 50-69%. School Plus is an after school supplementary class for upperclassman (11+12 graders ONLY) to recover core academic courses needed for Graduation. SAT School Day!
March 26, 2024
Juniors will participate in the SAT Exam. This test is FREE so bring your fully charged Chromebook and charger.Gwinnett Writes Exam!
10th Graders when you take the Gwinnett Writes Test on March 26th, you will be allowed to choose your topic. Please review the document below before March 26th so you can have time to make your choice. This is the same paper you will see on March 26th. There will not be any additional information until after you have chosen a topic until you start your exam.
Bring your fully charged Chromebook and charger.
Prom Information
Junior and Senior Parents!
Prom is only 6 weeks away ! Ask your student if they are interesting in attending Prom this year!
Please note the following:
- Prom tickets can be purchased on GoFan for $90 each.
- Every attendee must have a ticket.
- Students can purchase a maximum of 2 tickets per ID number.
- All guests must be between the ages of 14-20 and will need to show ID at Prom (driver's license or school ID card/ StudentVue are acceptable forms of ID).
- Ticket sales will close on April 1 (this is 2 weeks before Prom. Spring Break and getting final numbers to the vendor are the reasons for the close on April 1).
- There will be no ticket sales the week of Prom. Please plan accordingly!
- On April 10-12, students will pick up physical Prom tickets at lunch, their envelope will contain ticket(s) and parking information for the GA Aquarium.

Este evento se ofrecerá completamente en español y está diseñado específicamente para nuestras familias de habla hispana. Tendremos una feria universitaria con representantes de habla hispana, proveedores de recursos comunitarios, presentaciones de temas importantes y más. GOFAN for Event Tickets
Sports tickets can only be purchased via GoFan with a credit or debit card to home sporting events. To purchase a home ticket for games please click on PRHS GOFAN. Many other schools are also going touch-less for tickets as well. If they are using GoFan, those tickets will also be available under Peachtree Ridge.

Malia Burkes Name Atlanta Falcons Trailblazer of the Year
Senior, Malia Burkes, was announced the prestigious Atlanta Falcons Trailblazer of the Year Award winner. This accolade is a testament to the relentless spirit, dedication, and excellence a Georgia flag football student-athlete embodies. The Trailblazer Award, inspired by the ethos of the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, is designed to recognize Georgia high school flag football athletes who demonstrate exceptional performance on and off the field.

Cheer Lions Tryouts
Cheer Lions Tryouts for Football, Basketball, and Game Day seasons are on March 20-24 in the PRHS gym.
Candidates should join the Google Classroom (code: zx6tjzy) and obtain a tryout packet from A201, the Media Center, or our Cheer Lions Website.
All physical and digital paperwork MUST be complete and turned in by 3/18. Paper can be turned into A201.

Gwinnett County Science and Engineering Fair
Joshua Leonora, Aditya Arora, Eun Jae Lee, and Shriya Tailor placed 1st at the Gwinnett County Science and Engineering Fair and will represent Peachtree Ridge at the UGA Science and Engineering Fair in Athens this April.
Shriya Tailor also earned an ISEF advancement and $1000 scholarship for her recent submission to the Gwinnett County Science and Engineering Fair.

PTSA Senior Scholarship
The PRHS PTSA is thrilled to announce that we will be sponsoring one scholarship for a PRHS senior this year! The value of the scholarship is $500 to be paid directly to your college/university.
In keeping with our policy of providing quality education for young people, PRHS PTSA goes one step further by assisting a qualified senior student who wishes to continue their education beyond high school. See attached scholarship application for details.
ELIGIBILITY
A student is eligible to apply for the Peachtree Ridge High School PTSA Scholarship if he/she:
- Is a graduating senior at Peachtree Ridge High School
- The student and at least 1 adult from their household must be a PRHS PTSA member
- If you are not sure if you are a member, please contact the PTSA as soon as possible (peachtreeridgeptsa@gmail.com). If you need to become a member, you must join no later than March 1, 2024. Go to https://jointotem.com/ga/suwanee/peachtree-ridge-hs-ptsa to join. Memberships are $10.
- Has been accepted or has applied and is awaiting acceptance* to a two year or four year college / university or career ready program.
- Has a satisfactory scholastic record.
- Incomplete forms may be disqualified.
Senior Google Classroom
Senior families, it is strongly recommended that every senior joins the Google Classroom. Each senior was sent an invitation to their School Gmail. This is where information about graduation, events, and other important opportunities will be posted! This is your chance to stay updated and participate in your senior year! Seniors, make sure you share the information on the Google classroom with your families.

Senior Yard Signs are not part of senior dues and can be purchased on MyPaymentsPlus for $25.

Definition: Adobe Express is an all-in-one design, photo, and video tool to make content creation easy. Quickly and easily make stunning social content, videos, logos, and more. This is an online only program that allow students the power of Adobe to use on a Chromebook.

Peachtree Ridge CARE Closet
We have a variety of shelf-stable pantry items and some hygiene products available for families in need.
Families are welcome to come shop our CARE closet, or we can prepare bags for them. Our office is happy to have these ready for pick-up or drop-off at a family's residence or a discrete location.

PRHS Driver's Ed FAQs
What are the class meeting dates?
Session 3: 3/12, 3/14, 3/19, 3/21, 3/26, 3/28
When and where does class meet?
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3-8pm in Room B206
Do I need to attend every class to earn credit for Driver's Ed?
YES! You must be present at ALL classes to earn credit.
What should I bring to class?
You will need to bring a pencil, water bottle, and dinner or a snack.
What is the deadline to register?
The deadline to register for Session 3 is 3/11 at 11:59 pm.
When do I get to practice driving?
Students will be scheduled for 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction after completing the class and passing the final exam. Times are scheduled based on student and instructor availability.
What does the class cost?
The cost is $345 for the in-person class and 6 hours driving time.
The cost is $280 for just the 6 hours driving time.

Gwinnett County Internship Program
Gwinnett County Government is seeking applications for their Empower Gwinnett Internship Program. The application deadline is March 18. This is a four-week paid internship opportunity for ages 15-21.
