We are thrilled to have you all join us as we embark on another exciting year of learning and growth. WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28th 6pm-7:30 is all about giving you a glimpse into the wonderful world your child will be exploring in the coming months. You’ll meet their teachers, learn about the curriculum, and discover the many ways we’ll support and challenge each student to reach their full potential. Thank you for being an integral part of our school community. Your involvement and enthusiasm make all the difference. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

BACKPACKS

If you're in need of a backpack, we've got you taken care of. Please stop by the front office to get one.

Physical Education OPEN HOUSE

Ms. Armstrong is having a Physical Education open house for parents on Tuesday, August 27th in the gymnasium from 3:15-5:15 PM. You can come and learn about PE standards for each grade level as well activities covered throughout the school year.

Just a quick reminder: dogs are not allowed on campus. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our school environment safe and comfortable for all.

Also, please remember that there will be no supervision before 7:40am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesday, supervision will start at 8:40am. Make sure to plan accordingly and stay safe!

Volunteering in the Classroom or Field Trip

BVSD Volunteer Application Instructions

We ask that each individual interested in volunteering and interacting with students on a ongoing basis under line of sight supervision by BVSD staff, complete the appropriate application; ENGLISH or SPANISH. Please note, there is a $32.00 background fee due at the time of submission.

Please note that an active email and a valid social security number* are needed in order to complete the application. If you do not have an email you can create one HERE.

Once you have received email confirmation that your application has been approved, you are welcome to begin volunteering. Please allow up to 48 hours, upon submission, for approval notification. Approved background screenings are valid for 12 months, at which time they will need to be renewed.

Volunteers and field trip chaperones who are not under line of sight supervision are required to complete a CBI Fingerprint Check through a third party vendor, paid by the volunteer/partner/school AND must sign a BVSD Volunteer Agreement (Spanish).

LIL' EAGLES CHEER CLINIC

LATE START WEDNESDAY CHILDCARE

Our Wednesday morning childcare will begin next week, on Wednesday August 21. This year, all childcare will be in the cafeteria. Students must arrive between 7:45-8 to access this childcare!!

Tardiness and Partial Absences
Because of the disruptive nature of tardiness and partial absences, appropriate consequences consistent with this Policy may be imposed by the School when a student accumulates multiple tardies or partial absences. Generally, three (3) unexcused partial absences or five (5) tardies will equal one unexcused absence.
