A Note From Principal Reilly
Greetings Hamline Families!
It was so lovely to see so many families show up at conferences. If you were not able to attend, feel free to reach out to your child's teacher to reschedule. We love partnering with you and learning from YOU about your children.
Each month our school community focuses on different competencies. These are skills we hope to build in students to prepare them for middle school and beyond. For the past two months we have focused on Self & Community Aware as we create school-wide community and get to know each other and the unique gifts and strengths that each child brings. Our next competency we will be focusing on is Collaborators: "We work together towards a common goal." This will be language teachers will be embedding throughout their days as well as activities that support collaboration.
The past month we have also had students in grades 3-5 take the School Climate Survey which helps us hear and center their voices around how they feel about school. It asks questions such as, "I feel safe at school", "I do well in school", "Positive behavior is recognized at school", etc.
We look at this data to learn more about areas we need to improve upon as well as to celebrate areas that are strong. We would love to hear from you in the Parent Survey, which is similar to the one the students took. This will us see a deeper picture of how families feel as well. You will find the survey below.
I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful Fall weather. If any questions, ideas or concerns arise please reach out as we are here to support and partner with you. You can email me at Kristin.reilly@spps.org or call 651-293-8715.
In Partnership,
Principal Reilly

We always love gathering at the school with our families. We were fortunate to have the Walker West Music Academy Ensemble come and play some wonderful live music while we enjoyed pizza from local business, Doge Pizza.

Husky Pack Give to the Max campaign
Help Hamline kids succeed!
The Hamline Husky Pack is our school’s parent-teacher support group. We fundraise to help fund field trips, family nights, and school supplies. This year, we want to purchase recess equipment so our kids can have more fun on the field outside!
If you are able to contribute to Give to the Max Day, any amount is appreciated! Giving is always optional—families should not feel they are expected to donate. Donations will be accepted now until Nov. 21. Donate at https://www.givemn.org/organization/Pta-Minnesota-Congress-Hamline-Elementary. Thank you!
To contact the Husky Pack, please email HamlineElementaryPTA@gmail.com
