October 16, 2024 - Memorial of Saint Hedwig
Dear Saint Patrick Catholic School Families,
What a wonderful few days we’ve had here at Saint Patrick Catholic School! Last Thursday, we held our annual Walk-a-Thon, and the smiles on our students' faces said it all. We are incredibly grateful for the support of our parent volunteers who made this event possible. Each year, we set a goal of raising $100 per family, and I’m excited to share that, for the first time in several years, we’ve met and exceeded this goal! Thanks to your generosity, we raised a total of $3,247, all of which will go directly towards enriching our students' educational experiences.
On Friday, our teaching staff attended a retreat led by Father Dinovo. This retreat was a meaningful time for us to deepen our faith and grow together in worship.
We also had our very first meeting of the Saint Patrick Catholic School Boosters Association last night, and I was thrilled to see how many people came out to learn more about this group. It’s clear that we all share the same mission—to make our students' educational experiences at Saint Patrick the very best they can be.
Early this morning, at about 5:00 a.m., our eighth-grade class, along with Mr. Keller, embarked on their trip to Gettysburg and Philadelphia. We wish them safe travels and look forward to hearing all about their adventures.
As we reflect on these past few days, let us carry forward the positivity and excitement we’ve shared. Together, we are building a bright future for our school and our students. Thank you for your continued support and dedication to making Saint Patrick Catholic School a wonderful place for our children to learn and grow.
Wishing you all a joyful day!
Rick Logue
All Saints Day Mass - November 1
We will be attending All Saints Day Mass on Friday, November 1, at the church. Please note that this will require a change in uniforms for that week. On Wednesday, October 30, there will be no school Mass, so students should wear their regular uniforms, as they typically do on Mondays and Fridays. On Friday, November 1, students should wear their Mass uniforms.
We also want to extend a warm invitation to all parents and family members to join us for this special Mass, as well as any other school Mass throughout the year. If you are able to attend, we would love to see you there!
🎃 Halloween Parties & Costumes
Our classroom Halloween parties will take place on Thursday, October 31. Students are encouraged to wear costumes, but please remember that the majority of the day will be spent in a classroom setting focused on learning. It is essential to maintain an educational atmosphere for most of the day, even as we celebrate Halloween. Therefore, costumes must adhere to the following guidelines:
- No masks that cover all or part of the face
- No blood or gore
- No violence or weapons
- No inflatable costumes
- No inappropriate costumes
The principal will make the final decision on whether a costume is acceptable for school. If a costume is deemed unacceptable, we will do our best to find a solution at school. If it cannot be corrected, parents will be contacted to bring the student’s uniform.
Saint Patrick Catholic School Boosters Meeting Update
We want to extend a thank you to everyone who attended the Saint Patrick Catholic School Boosters Association meeting. The turnout was fantastic, with several school and parish families participating. Your support and involvement are what make our community so special!
For those who were unable to join us but would like to learn more, you can click here to view the association's bylaws on our school website.
If you're interested in serving as a member of the Boosters Association, applications are due by October 31. You can find the application on the Parental Involvement tab of our website or by clicking the button below.
Thank you again for your continued support and for helping us strengthen our school and parish community!
👻 BooGrams for Sale Next Week!
The eighth-grade class will be selling Boo-Grams during lunch the week of October 21. Each Boo-Gram consists of a piece of Air Head candy accompanied by a short message, which can be delivered to any student or staff member for just one dollar.
Boo-Grams will be delivered before the Halloween parties on Thursday, October 31. Thank you for supporting our eighth graders!
And they are off....
This morning, our eighth graders embarked on their much-anticipated class trip! We’re excited for the experiences and learning opportunities that await them. Be sure to follow our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/stpatricklondon/) for updates, photos, and stories from their journey!
🧱 Lego Club
The second meeting of our Lego Club will be on Wednesday, October 23, from 3:30 to 4:30! To make sure we have enough materials for everyone, please sign up by Monday, October 21, at noon. ⛄ Cold Weather Drop Off Update
As the weather gets colder or during inclement weather, Mrs. Lawson—or another adult—may be monitoring student drop-off from the vestibule inside the building. Please rest assured that there is always someone watching, beginning at 8:15 a.m., to ensure that all students safely make it into the building as they arrive.

🍕 Cafeteria Volunteers Needed
We’re looking for parent volunteers to assist in our school cafeteria! Your support helps us provide a smooth and enjoyable lunchtime experience for all our students. Volunteering in the cafeteria is a great way to get involved in our school community, meet other parents, and make a positive impact on our students’ day.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Rick Logue, Principal, at rlogue1@cdeducation.org or call 740-852-0161. We would love to have your help.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to support our school!
