Happy Easter Week and welcome to Week 5 of our Crisis Schooling Adventure. As we continue through these next weeks of school, we are hopeful that many of you are settling into a routine that works for your situation and family. We continue to wait for more direction from Governor DeWine as to what the rest of the school year looks like. The Diocese of Cleveland Principals continue to meet on Wednesday's via Zoom to discuss ways to support families and students throughout this challenging time. We are also planning for next year so we are better prepared for whatever our future holds.
Don't forget that Sunday April 19th is Divine Mercy Sunday. You can celebrate Mass on YouTube from St. Mary's or visit a new church in the world.
#WeAreInThisTogether. This means a lot right now. We know that through this challenging time some days are better than others and I am hearing from many families including my own that parents as well as children are having melt downs. This is a natural occurrence given the situation. The lack of social stimulation is difficult for many of us. These are the times you may need to take that mental health moment or day. It's OK. We are blessed to have teachers and families that work well together and no one will think badly of you for saying it is too difficult. Quite frankly, it is difficult. Please speak up and we will help you circumnavigate everything to help you prioritize what really needs to get done. Each family has their own unique set of challenges and struggles and we are trying to make an individual plan for all of you. Some students need more work and some less and depending on which parents are working from home and how many family members there are it is overwhelming some days. And technology and the internet do not always cooperate especially when everyone is using it in the world. Breathe and take a break, your children are learning everyday from you and what you are doing in your homes. We all want to get back to normal and we just need to be patient.
