Kennedy Middle School's Annual Health and Fitness Day
On Friday, April 14, 2023, Kennedy students participated in the 6th annual Health and Fitness Day. This day is designed to expose students at Kennedy Middle School to health resources in their community and reenergize their commitment to leading a healthy life. Students participate in a variety of events focused on healthy movement and activity. In addition, students hear from experts in the field about both physical and mental health. This day accomplishes the following goals: --Increasing interest in regular physical activity and healthy eating habits. --Connecting and familiarizing students with health resources in Waltham and surrounding communities --Providing students with valid and reliable health and wellness information in a safe and supportive environment From Zumba to rollerblading to mindfulness to pickle-ball and so much more, our students and staff had a wonderful experience. We are so grateful to the volunteers from the Waltham community who help make this day possible. And a special shoutout to Kennedy teacher Stacey Meehan for organizing this event!
