Important Dates and Upcoming Events
Unity Day - October 16
On October 16, 2024, Wednesday, we are celebrating Unity Day in Hawaii as part of National Bully Prevention Month. The slogan for Unity Day in our state is Together with Aloha. United with Kindness, Acceptance and Inclusion. We want our students to show their ALOHA by wearing ORANGE. Each student will also receive an orange wristband to wear. In our SEL classes this week, students learned about bullying behavior vs. respectful behavior, ways they can prevent or help stop bullying behavior especially by spreading Kindness, Accepting everyone (just as they are) and Including everyone (so no one is left out). Our school-wide Unity Day activity is to create a classroom poster with a bully prevention slogan and student messages of Kindness, Friendship and I Choose to Show Aloha by .... If you get a chance, come check them out during Parent-Teacher Conference Week or at our Halloween Parade.
