10/27/2024 BCHS Weekly Newsletter
Principal's Message
Good evening, Bruin families-
Fall weather is in the air!
We have many events to look forward to this week:
- Tomorrow night is our Harvest Festival which is a trunk or treat hosted by Link Crew. Various BCHS clubs will be passing out candy to the youth in our community. Link Crew is also offering a movie night on Wednesday night: tickets are available online and permission slips are required. Look for more details in this newsletter.
- For Halloween this Thursday, costumes are welcome. Please remember that they must be school appropriate with no masks, weapons, blood, full face make-up or bulky accessories.
- Fall sport regular season is ending this week. Check out the information regarding tryouts for Winter sports in the Athletics section and be sure to visit the Athletic office if you have more questions.
- Dia de los Muertos is this Friday and Saturday. Let's make time to remember and honor our departed loved ones.
Sincerely-
Principal
Julie Hummel
Bear Creek's First Trunk or Treat
The event will be on Monday, October 28th from 5:30 - 7:30 in the Student Parking Lot. Each club/program will decorate one trunk of a car, van, truck, etc. in a Halloween/Harvest-related theme. Just like with trick or treating, each trunk will have something to hand out to kids such as candy, stickers, or other small goodies.

Staff Member's Of The Week
Mrs. Sonia Anguiano
Spanish Community Liaison
Mr. Chris Somera
The Staff Members of the Week are Mrs. Sonia Anguiano and Mr. Chris Somera
Mrs. Sonia Anguiano is amazing to work with. She helps with all the Spanish speaking families and with the front desk. She jumps right in to help when the office gets busy. She's kind and sweet to her colleagues and students. Sonia is a wonderful addition to BCHS and we are so glad she's a part of our Bruin family.
Mr. Chris Somera is a reliable colleague. As a veteran staff member here at Bear Creek, he is able to help with questions that anyone may have throughout the school year. He makes your workload much easier when he is in the room.
Bruins, when you see Ms. Sonia and Mr. Chris on campus please congratulate them on being Staff Member of the Week and thank them for all that they do for the BC Community.
