π What's Happening This Week π
Alright, parents and guardians, letβs admit it: weβre all secretly celebrating the glorious return of the five-day school week. The kids are back in school and weβre officially back in our rhythm.
Speaking of rhythm, books are the beat weβre all marching to this month! Last weekβs Book Fair was a roaring successβthanks to you and your enthusiastic readers. Shelves have been restocked, allowances have been well spent, and we have future bookworms in the making!
Meanwhile, the CAS Book Club is getting a boost, thanks to your donations. Every contribution helps expand our library collection, ensuring that all students have access to new and exciting reads.
And letβs not forget the Blue Tiger Reading Challenge, where students are clocking impressive minutes each month. Competition is fierce, so if you hear your kid talking about βneeding more reading time,β donβt fall out of your chairsβ¦they mean business.
So hereβs to the books, the return of routine, and all of you, our fantastic CAS community, for making it all happen. Letβs keep those pages turning!

- Adhere to Traffic Routes: Use the established traffic routes to prevent congestion and keep everyone moving efficiently.
- Show Respect to Our Staff on Duty: Our staff members are there to ensure a safe and orderly environment. Please treat them with courtesy and respect as they assist with drop-off and pick-up procedures.

Read All About It! CAS Book Club Open Through Dec 16! ππ
This program helps add books to the CAS library through your generous donations. Your donation will buy high-quality, specially bound books in the genre of your choice. When the books arrive, Mr. Paradiso will invite your child to pick one from their chosen genre. A special label honoring your family or child will be placed inside, and your child will be the first to check it out from the library. This will be open from the week of November 11th through the week of December 16th.
Make Spirits Bright! CAS Holiday Shop Open Dec 2 & 4! π
With Halloween soon behind us and the end-of-the-year holiday season fast approaching, The CAS holiday shop will soon return for all of your childrenβs holiday shopping needs. This event was a huge hit last year, giving the kids a chance to purchase little gifts for the family members and friends. More information coming in November, but for now, please consider donating your reusable shopping bags to the holiday shop committee. The team pre-labels each one and distributes them to the children prior to their shopping day to hold all their items.
Please help make this year's Holiday Shop a success by volunteering!

Literacy Curriculum at a Glance
Madison families thank you for attending the curriculum open house that was offered at each of the libraries during parent teacher conferences! In case you missed our open house attached is a list of our literacy programs and videos that provide an overview and a sample of how the lesson is taught. If you have any questions please reach out at any time!
Battle of the Books! Blue Tiger Reading Challenge Is Officially On! ππ
The Blue Tiger Reading Challenge continues for November! Just a reminder how this competition works--the entire school is broken up into 4 teams. Students will keep track on the calendar how much they are reading at home each night. At the end of the month, they will submit their minutes to Mr. Paradiso on the monthly google form. This form can be found here, in their library google classroom, in the PTO newsletter, or on the CAS library website. Whatever team reads the most minutes each month will win a custom 3D printed keychain, courtesy of Mrs. Walch. We are also working together as a school to see if we can beat our score from last year, which was 1,080,788 minutes.
Please try to encourage your students to participate in this fun challenge, and Mr. Paradiso will send reminders near the end of each month to remind students/parents to submit their minutes on the Google form. Please contact Mr. Paradiso with any questions.
Your PTO dues are Appreciated!!
