FALL SPORTS: SEASON-IN-REVIEW
At this time last year, I was celebrating what was probably the best Fall Season we had ever had in the 20 years Beckman had been open. I'm happy to boast that the Fall Season of year 21 was even better!
In the seven sports we compete in for the Fall, Beckman took home four league championships which were won by Girls Volleyball, Girls Golf, Football and Boys Cross Country.
With having new league placement and new opponents this year, I was unsure how our athletes would handle the new competition and longer travel to contests, but our athletes definitely showed their mettle throughout the season. Our Football team had a 9-1 regular season, losing in the CIF Quarterfinals on the road in tough conditions. Girls Tennis also had a fantastic year qualifying for the CIF Open Division in the playoffs, losing to the #2 seed in the Quarterfinals. Our Flag Football program had a fantastic run in the playoffs losing to a league opponent, San Clemente, in the CIF Semifinals.
The Fall program that stole the show was our Cross Country program. Both our Boys and Girls teams qualified for the CIF Finals which was a tremendous accomplishment. Our Boys team was extremely talented and went on to win the CIF Division 1 Championship on Nov. 23rd at Mt. SAC. The Boys then moved on to compete the following weekend in the State Meet up in Fresno. Battling against the best in the State, our boys triumphed and became State Champions. This is the first team in Beckman's history to win a State Title and I couldn't be more proud of a group of athletes and coaching staff.
With that being said, I want to conclude by saying that I'm proud of all of our Fall programs for how well they represented Beckman High School, and would like to extend a big thank you to all of our Fall Coaches!

BECKMAN FOOTBALL RUNS OVER THE COMPETITION TO A 10-2 SEASON!
Athlete Spotlight - Kiara Deng
You may not know this, but we have an incredible tennis star playing for us, and, she's only a Freshman. Kiara has made an immediate impact on our team this year playing as our number one singles player right from the get go this Fall. Not only against the best in our league, but against the best in the Southern Section, Kiara has been outstanding. Over the course of her Freshman season, Kiara had an overall record of 52-4. She went on to be the Individual League Champion for the South Coast League and made it all the way to the CIF Individual Semifinals before losing. She's already been named to the All-County team for this year and there will likely be more awards to come. Kiara Deng has already proven herself to be an incredible student-athlete for the Patriots and I'm looking forward to seeing her play for three more years!
FLAG FOOTBALL HAS A LONG PLAYOFF RUN LOSING IN THE SEMIFINALS!
Reminder: Ticket Purchasing
Coast View Athletic Association ticket pricing is $8 for General Admission and $6 for Students/Children/Seniors. For those that purchase the ASB decal for the 24-25 school year, you still get into to all BHS Home games (Football, Volleyball, Basketball and Wrestling) for Free, excluding playoff games.
