As the leaves begin to turn, we’re gearing up for an exciting month filled with activities that celebrate both our vibrant community and the importance of staying safe and healthy. September is bursting with special events, so be sure to check out our activities page and calendar!
This month, we're proud to celebrate National Senior Center Month, a time to honor the role our center plays in enriching lives and fostering connections. We’re also shining a spotlight on National Falls Prevention Week, with a series of activities focused on keeping you strong and steady.
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:
- What’s Your Job? – A lively discussion where we invite you to bring or wear something from your working days. It’s a great way to share stories and memories with friends!
- Falls Prevention Week – We’ll have a special visit from a doctor who will discuss surgical options in case of fall-related injuries. Plus, we’ll explore foods that help prevent osteoporosis, giving you tips on how to stay healthy and strong.
- National Hug and High Five Day – The preschool children will join us for a heartwarming day of stories, crafts, and, of course, plenty of hugs and high fives!
- Daily Raffle Tickets – Every day you visit the center and complete an activity, you’ll earn a ticket for our raffle. Prizes include a photo frame filled with lottery tickets and a $15 gift card to Giant!
September promises to be a month of fun, learning, and celebration. We can't wait to share it all with you!
