AV Mock Trail Competition Round 2 Prosecution
Our Mock Trial team competed again this last week and did an incredible job! Our team results show a WIN for our team! We continue again in two weeks and will have more to share! Congratulations to our Senior, and his last competition, Holden Meier! His father was there to cheer him on! Thank you to Mr. Rob Kayne, our coaches, Mr. Frame, and Dr. Shapiro for your support of this incredible academic competitive team. We're so proud of their work! They've learned so many skills for life in addition to what it's like to be a lawyer and follow the laws, rules and regulations of the courtroom. Our students were brilliant this last week! Congrats again to this amazing team! And, congrats to 11th grader, Audrey Berensten for being selected as MVP for Team AOC for this last competition.

Animation Festival on 3/16-Register for this Special Event
Let me e-introduce myself. My name is Jeffrey Baker and I am the Program Coordinator and Professor of Animation at the College of the Canyons. I am also co-host (along with Dr. Jia-ye Levine-Cheng, Director of the International Student Program) of our International Student Animation Festival. This festival will feature animated films from students in foreign country/language, community college and K-12 students. I am especially hoping that AOC high school students are encouraged to attend.
The event will include a panel of animation professionals in a discussion about "Identity and Animation". Also, Sony Animation will be presenting their "Early Careers Program" and internship opportunities. After lunch (provided) we will screen the amazing international slate of animated films, present awards, including an award based upon audience votes. Did I forget to mention raffles for swag?
The event is free, but registration is required.
