From Mrs. Hubbard, Principal
What an exciting week at GWS! It was teacher appreciation week, and our staff members were showered with love and appreciation all week long. We received warm words of thanks, sweet treats, festive floral arrangements, and beautiful books for our classroom libraries. We are blessed to serve in such a loving and supportive school community. Thank you to our students and their families, especially our PTO members, for the kindness and appreciation shown to us throughout the school year.
Happy Mothers' Day to all moms, and I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

MCAS Continues Next Week!
It is very important that students arrive to school on time. Proper rest and a nutritional breakfast have also proven beneficial. Please send a healthy snack to school with your child on test days.
From the PTO
Calling all cake bakers!!
We are looking for volunteers to bake and decorate cakes for the musical walk at Springfest!
Please stop by the school office or have your child stop in and take some foil cake pans home.
1 box of cake mix fills 2 foil cake pans. If anyone would like to bake allergy friendly cakes (gluten/nut or dairy free) this would be appreciated. Each foil cake pan you can bake, cool and frost within the same pan. Cakes can be brought with you to Springfest on Wednesday May 22nd at 4:30 pm.
What is the musical walk?
As the music plays, students walk or dance around the circle, stepping from one numbered circle to another. As soon as the music stops, everyone stands on the number they are closest to. Then a number is drawn, read out loud and the person standing on that number gets a cake!
