Monday - Thursday:

• Students wear Borman uniforms each day, clean and ready for learning.
• Doors open at 7:15 AM for all students.
• Click here for the Uniform Policy.
• Borman Elementary has Universal FREE Breakfast for every student!
• If your child is absent, please submit an attendance note to make sure the absence is excused. Absence Attendance Form
• If your child arrives after 7:40 AM they will be marked "TARDY".
• Dismissal begins at 3:00 PM for all students.

Friday:

• Students may wear a Borman Spirit Shirt, College Spirit Shirt, or Military Spirit Shirt on Fridays. Students must wear their school uniforms if a student wishes not to participate in Astro Attire Days. (Not Professional Sports Teams Merchandise)

We are excited to introduce our newest 5th Grade Camp Fundraiser, TAKIS FRIDAYS!!! $1 a bag for TAKIS! Please note that Takis will be distributed at the end of school for consumption after school or over the weekend.

With classroom holiday parties and performances coming up, we wanted to remind everyone that we will ask all visitors for their ID, for which we will keep in the office, and then return upon leaving the building. Please make sure to bring your ID any time you visit Borman Elementary.

For any dismissal changes, please call the office prior to 2:00 PM. Please do not contact teacher, because they are busy throughout the day teaching.

This school year, we are changing our car arrival and drop-off assistance.

• Our doors by the car lane will open at 7:15 AM, but teachers will not be present to assist until 7:20 AM.
  
• We will have a teacher present at the crosswalk, and students are welcomed to enter the building at 7:15 AM, but we will not have a full set of staff members outside to assist students until 7:20 AM.
• Starting in September, we will have our 4th Grade Safety Crew available to open doors for students starting at 7:20 AM.
• When weather is bad, teachers and Safety Crew will not be available to open doors.

If you are coming to pick up your child from school, or drop them off, please use Mercedes Rd. We have seen some individuals trying to turn off of Parvin St. into the car lane. Please follow the traffic pattern, and use Mercedes Rd.

We are currently seeing up to 20+ students tardy each day.

Please help us in making sure our students have the best start to their day! When a child arrives late, this can cause a domino effect for the rest of their day. They miss out on morning meeting, announcements, and have a feeling of "missing out".

Our building opens at 7:15 AM each day to allow students a sufficient amount of time to enjoy breakfast and get to class before 7:40 AM. At 7:40 AM, classroom instruction begins. If your child enjoys breakfast in the morning, please arrive closer to 7:15 AM so that they have a sufficient amount of time before class begins.

You are welcomed to come eat lunch with your child!

We have a family eating area in our galley area so that you may enjoy lunch with your child.

For dietary and safety purposes, we ask that you only eat with your child. Please do not invite your child's friend to join you for lunch in the family eating area.

Lastly, please do not accompany your child to recess. We ask that parents not join our students out on the playground.

Please join us this year for a Borman Sing-A-Long, December 21st at 9:00 AM! This year we will not be hosting any after-school winter performances, but instead a performance during the day!

Do you remember getting paper flyers every week from school? Well in order to save paper, we have converted all flyers digitally. These flyers can be found on our Borman Peachjar website! Last year we saved 101 trees.
