About the Book
The Pages & Parenting D103 book group is part of the district's ongoing efforts to foster a strong sense of community and parenting engagement.
"The 5 Principles of Parenting," by Dr. Aliza Pressman provides parents with valuable insights into creating a nurturing, supportive environment for their children. Parents learn how to set consistent boundaries, which help children feel secure, and how to model emotional regulation to teach kids healthy ways to manage their feelings. Additionally, parents will discover the importance of building a strong, trusting relationship with their children, fostering emotional connection and resilience. They will also understand the concept of scaffolding, learning when and how to provide support while gradually encouraging independence. Finally, the book helps parents become more intentional in their day-to-day interactions, guiding them to align their actions with the values they want to instill in their children. These practical tools will help parents raise confident, self-reliant, and emotionally healthy children.
We believe this book study will not only provide valuable insights but also serve as a platform for meaningful conversations and connections within our community. We look forward to your participation and the enriching discussions that will undoubtedly arise from this shared experience.
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community.
