January 2025
Principal Points
Welcome to 2025!
Can you believe we’re already over halfway through the school year? Time is flying by, and the start of a new year is the perfect opportunity to set New Year’s resolutions. Here are some great goals you can work on with your child:
- Eat more green vegetables with dinner.
- Set a savings goal for their allowance.
- Brush and floss twice a day.
- Read for at least 30 minutes daily.
- Find a sport or activity to do twice a week.
- Spend time outside when the weather is nice.
- Limit video game time to 1-2 hours per day.
- Express feelings openly and share them with others.
- Make their bed every morning.
- Keep their room and closet tidy.
- Put in their best effort at school.
This month, we’re focusing on patience and why it’s such an important trait. In school, we’re discussing goal setting and ways to work toward becoming the best versions of ourselves. During morning assembly, we’re exploring how our choices can positively impact those around us while helping us grow as individuals.
We’re also introducing family groups this week! These mixed-grade groups will help students connect with peers from other grade levels, build relationships, and provide an opportunity to serve as role models for younger students.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful January!
