Dear Families,

What a weird week this has been! We were glad to be in person for school today to wrap up the week. It looks like warmer weather is coming next week so that will be nice. We'll have two full weeks of school as we transition into March. Parent-teacher conferences will be held the evenings of March 10th-11th & on the afternoon of the 17th. That means students will have a few days off on March 13th-17th. Information on signing up for conferences is included further down in the newsletter and there is a paper copy in Friday Folders. We hope to see all of our families to share the progress their students have made this year.

PS-The lost and found is FULL. Feel free to come up to school to take a peek to see if anything might belong to your child(ren).

Millard Public Schools Foundation held their Jingle event in November. As part of Jingle, donors can make a donation to a school's wish list. A generous donation was made to Neihardt Elementary for "Staff Member of the Week" recognition. Each week a staff member is nominated by fellow staff members and if chosen, they receive a gift card. We are very grateful for this generous donation!

Please note, our last day of school has been moved to Thursday, May 22nd. Students will dismiss at 3:30 pm. Our staff members will be busy packing up their rooms on Friday, May 23rd as we move out for summer construction.

On behalf of the PTO, we are asking for parents to donate paper products, desserts and pop and water for parent teacher conferences. The conferences will be held on Monday, March 10th and Tuesday, March 11th. You can drop off your donations anytime to the school office and no later than 3:00 pm on Monday, March 10th.

Thank you to Mr. Mason, father of Juli and Caleb and Mr. Ferris, father of Nora who volunteered as our Watch D.O.G.S. this week. They spent their time in classrooms, PE, music class, eating lunch with their students and recess. We appreciate them coming in and volunteering.

If you have an incoming kindergartener or new student entering Millard Public Schools for the 2025-26 school year, please enroll your student beginning February 1, 2025 at www.mpsomaha.org. By completing your child's enrollment as soon as possible you help us place students sooner and communicate with your family in a timely way.

Existing student updates will occur between June 9 and July 31, 2025.
