Principal's Corner
Hello McGrath Families-
As we approach the final weeks of the school year, we want to make a final push to finish strong! We will wrap up our assessments by finishing MSTEP in the next two weeks and our NWEA testing will take place at the end of the month. We also will be taking time to celebrate the many accomplishments of our students who showed amazing academic progress this year. Our field trips, school spirit days, and family nights were a huge success this year! Thank you for your continued support throughout this journey. It has been a year filled with learning, growth, creativity, and lots of smiles!
We wish all our students and families a joyful, relaxing summer break filled with fun, reading, and adventure. To our graduating 5th graders — we are so proud of you and know you’ll shine in middle school!
Respectfully,
Amanda Pawlik
Assistant Principal

Dress Code Reminders
With the temperature warming up, we'd like to review the general policies for what is acceptable dress for school:
- Shorts should reach to the middle of the thigh. This means shorts should be long enough to be visible (not hidden by the hem of a shirt).
- No crop tops - stomachs should not be exposed.
- Straps on tank tops should be 3 fingers wide at the top of the shoulder.
Thank you, in advance, for ensuring our students are dressed appropriately for school.
We are extremely excited that our students have access to a program called IXL. It is a comprehensive program that gives students the opportunity to practice math and language arts skills at their own level. Your student has been using IXL in class with their teacher and knows how to log in and navigate the program on his or her Chromebook.
Ask your student about it and encourage them to practice at home!

We would like to remind all families of our policy regarding access to classrooms for the safety and well-being of all our students. Parents and guardians are not permitted to walk students to class or visit classrooms unannounced. This policy helps us maintain a secure and focused learning environment for every child. If you wish to speak with a teacher or visit a classroom, we ask that you kindly schedule an appointment in advance with your child's teacher. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we continue to prioritize a safe and productive atmosphere for our students.
ARRIVAL
Students that arrive by car and want breakfast, will be allowed to go straight into the cafeteria breakfast line at 8:25. Car drop-off students that do not want breakfast can get dropped off at 8:30 and wait by the doors. Parents please do not drop off your students until you see adults outside and you have pulled up to the building. It is unsafe for students to be dropped off further back in the line and walking through traffic to get to the building.
