The Board Bulletin is published monthly following the voting meeting of the Board and is for informational purposes to keep the West York Area School District Community informed of Board happenings and is not intended as an official record of meetings. • President Kohler called the meeting to order and announced an executive session was held prior to the meeting.
• President Kohler noted that two former West York teachers passed away, Mr. Terry Bupp and Mr. Reed Prowell. The Board offered condolences to their families.
• The minutes from the August 13, 2024, Board Work Session were approved.
  
• Miss Alyssa Hedgcock, High School Student Council President, shared updates from the High School.
• Dr. Davies shared the following for his Superintendent's Report:
• A District Welcome was held for all employees on August 12th to welcome all faculty and staff to the 2024-25 school year.
• At the District Welcome, Lori Andrus, Susan Anstine, Jennifer Unger, Lori Workinger, and Marsha Yanick were recognized for achieving the remarkable milestone of 30-years of service to the students of West York.
• Today we opened the WYAHS First Capital FCU Branch for students and employees.
• Back-to-School Nights are underway at each of the buildings.

• Budget and Finance Committee (Treasurer Gettys, Chair) Ms. Schlemmer reported that the local auditors would be in the District the week of August 19th, and she shared information about the state budget.

• Facilities Committee (President Kohler, Chair) Updates to the Athletic Fields Timeline were shared, and Ms. Schlemmer shared an update on the McClure project.
• Foundation for the WYASD (Director Siatkowski, Chair) The Foundation will be seeking an Executive Director.
• Wellness Committee (Director Siatkowski, Chair) No Report.

• President Kohler adjourned the meeting.
