Spotlight of the Week

Students in Ms. Travers' 6th grade Tech Ed class have spent the past six weeks diving into the world of coding and robotics. Their challenge? To design and build unique obstacle courses and program a robot to navigate through them! Using iRobot's Root robots, students created their own rules and targets to make each course more exciting and challenging. During a recent class session, they put their programming skills to the test by running their robots through each other's obstacle courses.

VOLUNTEERS AND CHAPERONES

Thinking of volunteering at the Daley? Whether it is chaperoning a field trip, helping with school events or helping out in the office we would love to have your help! Please fill out a CORI form and reach out to me to learn more. For a copy of the CORI form, click here.

ABSENCES, TARDIES, AND DISMISSALS

When you plan to dismiss your child, please send a note into school with your child the morning of the dismissal. The note should include the date, time and the name of the person who will be dismissing your child.
Please call the office if your child will be absent. When your child returns to school, please send a note regarding the absence. If your child has a medical appointment you can ask for a note from the doctor and send that to us.

Happening in Lowell

The Lowell Transitional Living Center greatly appreciates the sock donation from the Daley Middle School Community. 7,890 pairs of socks is a record for the Daley and for the LTLC! LTLC noted that this is more than previous corporate donations and will last them into the late summer months. LTLC is hosting their biggest fundraiser of the year, a 5K through Lowell.

The district is conducting its annual community survey, including questions about the district and school academics and communication.
